well the obvious answer would be, if you don't mind shopping from china and can wait about a month, FastTech
they sell some authentics but mostly knockoffs for dirt cheap
as for what to get, that depends on what you want and what you like

New Vapor Info & Starter Kits
vaping is such a personal experience, so obviously everyone's perfect kit will be different and we will need more info about you and your needs. This post is more aimed to those that are ready to move away from cig-a-likes and into the vaping world.

I have gone through the past year of lurking in this forum and what I have learned and tried to piece together to my best a good starter kit for cheap.

Are you ready to step away from the cigarette-look-a-likes? If so this opens your choices up a lot...if you aren't then there are still options.

....

It is all overwhelming at first but it starts getting easier and it starts making more sense.

....

I'm still new myself but best advice I can give is: keep in mind vaping is all personal preference and there is no bad choices...what you decide is what you will be living with and using ;)
feel free to ask question, no question is stupid, just mis/under informed.

Some things to keep in mind:
  • Try to stick to pv's (personal vapors) that have both the 510 and ego connections this way you have all kinds of options when it comes to juice delivery systems.
  • Variable Voltage (vv) = everyone's taste is different so you can set your voltage up or down to help suit your needs as well as different juices and different juice delivery systems (cartomizers, tanks, ect) taste different at different voltages. (how many times can I say different)
  • Variable Wattage (vw) I haven't tried yet but assuming it is the same principle as stated above for vv.
  • Pass-through battery to be able to vape while charging.
  • the higher the mAh the longer the battery life
  • do you prefer a warm vape (top coil) or a cool vape (bottom coil)? top coil vs bottom coil tanks, to each their own...but go with glass or metal so that there's no worries about tank cracking juices.

....

Size Does Matter
For those out there with the "size problem"
Here is something to give a good judgement

typically rule of thumb for a new vapor, as was when I started suggest getting a variable voltage ego style mod....however, after now owning an itaste mvp2, I would recommend it...it's not that difficult to figure out, it's easy to use and has everything that you could need or want for a mod....it's a bit more than getting an ego mod however in the long run it is pretty much the only mod that you would need (not want but need ;) )

Forget about "cheap clones". You get what you pay for and that being said I'd look into GG products- you'll find nothing but the best. Not the answer you're looking for but supporting stolen designs and logos is weak imo.

Almost as weak as trolling in to a thread to spout your moral views, shill for a company and show your inability to answer a simple question. Oh well, at least you didn't tell him to get a Provari,

Hey Super, welcome to the forum!
There's a big world of choices out there and it's easy to get lost.

First please tell us what you're using now and what you like and do not like about it.
Second, do you have any strong feelings about ease of use, form factor etc etc?

The more information we have, the more useful the advice you will get.

One last thing, "cheap" means different things to different people. If you can give us a price range, that would help quite a bit!

I recently switched from a kangar pro tank 2 to a drip atomizer. I was looking for good clones as well because i didn't want to throw a bunch of money at an authentic and then turn around and not like it. I ended up with an explorer. it's cheap and has a lot of the qualities other authentic drippers have and it's not a clone of anyone.

I'd say fasttech.com is cheap but takes forever to actually ship anything. A better option in my oppinion, only slightly more expensive is focalecig.com, they usually have it to my (Chicago area) in 1.5-2 weeks depending on customs. One word of advice, Make sure it's stainless steel..... there's a lot of brass covered junk out there. Brass contains lead.... metal worker here.... one micro scratch deep enough or imperfection in their pretty looking SS coating and your liquid "could".... most likely will, leach lead into the vape. As far as ebay goes, I've gotten far too many clones being sold as authentic (and priced as authentic) to even look on there anymore. I did get the money back and returned the product, but tired of wasting my time there.

I agree with this. The price difference is compelling and some of the clones are actually quality products, but in the end you're giving your money to what basically boils down to a bunch of thieves.

fasttech? long shipping though. Depends what clones you're looking for really... what do you have in mind? I have a site with vision spinner 2 clones on the cheap, which seem to have a decent build.

I'm really new so I don't really know where to start. Im starting to look into rebuildables and I want something with a good build and does it's job well. Right now I have a Turtleship V2 with a patriot atomizer and I love it. Something of the sort I suppose

I completely know where you're coming from. But as a college student, I don't have the funds to buy something that will cost me an arm and a leg. I feel that when I finally have an idea on what a good mod is, I will definitely buy OEM products.

ebay is a good resource for finding great deals on all things vape. tons of clones if thats what your looking for, authentics as well, and everything in-between (well... I guess there isn't really anything between clones and authentics now that I think of it, lol).

There are a million websites that also sell should you not like doing the ebay thing. Madvapes, myvaporstore, kidneypuncher, are just a few I've used. They all have clones for sale. Take your time looking around the internet, you can find some insane deals with a little hunting, just be prepared to order multiple items from multiple places, I've yet to find one place that has the best deals on everything I need (but ebay is so close I've been going there as of late).

Yeah tell me about it! My head is spinning with all the details that does into mech mods.

Right now, I have a Turtleship V2 with a Patriot atomizer which I bought from a friend. It works great and I have been playing with it for about 2 months now. I loved it so much that I decided to get another one, one that I "build" on my own so to speak. I don't really have anything particular in mind but I wanted something that just works decently and something that gives a good hit.

Im willing to spend up to $60-$100.

Thank you 10x sugar
