I'm curious if the e-Cig is illegal in Singapore, or just the juice? Surely the device - absent the controlled substance in the juice (Nicotine) is something you should be able to import and therefore buy freely from any electronics store??

I get that making the juice illegal would affect the demand for the device - but there are plenty of examples in singapore of legally imported items that, when used with other items, or in specific circumstances become illegal - and there is no difficulty finding those components here...

Prohibition on imitation tobacco products

In Singapore, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) are currently prohibited under Secion 16 (1) of the Tobacco (Control of Advertisements and Sale) Act, which is enforced by the Health Sciences Authority (HSA). This legislation prohibits the importation, distribution, sale or offer for sale of any confectionery or other food product or any toy or other article that is designed to resemble a tobacco product or the packaging of which is designed to resemble the packaging commonly associated with tobacco products. HSA takes a serious view on any person who contravenes the law. Those guilty of the offence are liable to a fine of up to $5, 000 upon conviction.

Above is a paragraph taken from the Health Science Authority of Singapore website.
I hope this answers your question.

thx alot! and should i order the juice wif the start pack or should i do seperatly?i'm worried abt the HSA/custom thingy

I really cannot advise much on this but if it were to be me, I will just get the hardware alone to reduce the risk.
Note I mention reduce the risk. Not remove the risk so do not quote me.
As for the 'water' part, you will know more on where to get once you get into the local forums.

hi Zeivia & ddass, welcome to ECF..Singapore very strict on electronic cigarette anyway this site shipped to Singapore but has this:

Shipping to Singapore (NO personal risk from customs involved!)

Singapore has a special shipping system at US$30 for 1st 500g and US$7 for subsequent 500g up to a maximum of 2kg. Your address will not be linked to the parcel until customs is cleared. This means that although there is customs risk for the parcel to be destroyed, there is no personal risks involved.

so hopefully U get yr e-cig deliver to U without getting "caught" by custom

E-Cigarettes and Personal Vapourizers Store ..good luck & hope U get to use e-cig to wean away from analogs..regards mafig ps Zeivia,U need 5 posts be4 U can post in other forums & seek help from fellow Singkias @ SG Vapers
