MT. Rainier is beautiful but they keep letting them Mt. climbers up there and then they have to call out the guard to go rescue them. There's someone up there now they're looking for.

The same thing happens in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. When I hiked on the Appalachian Trail there, I signed in at the Ranger Station and when I returned I signed out. It wasn't mandatory, but it was the smart thing to do. There are a lot of markers, going up Mt. Washington, for people who didn't survive the climb. Very tragic.

I believe that someone is missing in an avalanche. Not the thing to do, IMO, to climb a mountain, or go snowmobiling when the weather is heating up. But then, I'm not very adventurous!

I know it's tragic but that costs some dough too. They lost a big helicopter up there a couple yrs. ago. I think if your going up that high you should have to have ins. or a bond. It happens on Rainier about 10 times every year and it's usually 5 or more people at a time.

Some people don't seem to realize that mountain climbing can be very dangerous. It's a shame that they don't do their homework, before they climb up one. I went up Mt. Washington several times, but on the Cog Railway. I would never climb it. The weather can change very quickly up there. I hope they find that person in one piece and alive.

Zelda, you just made me bust a gut. I gave that up years ago ok. No more teaching boys to be men. I want a man to make me feel like a real woman!:headbang::firefox:

Look at our leader he's talking about mountains. We are doomed!

You are a real woman, suddenly. I love your eyes, the way they sparkle and they are so......pink ?
