Are there any plastic people here (or research lab managers) who understand the difference between LDPE and HDPE plastic? I know one is low density and the other is high density but why would we prefer one or the other for bottles to hold our liquid?

Jan and Poeia left when I came on....
Did not. I tend to pop in and get caught up but by the time I finish I'm tired so I pop out again. But sometimes I leave a browser tab open.

Hmmmmm...

I think that maybe LDPE are the soft, squeeze bottle and HDPE are the more rigid ones that a few companies use. I read somewhere that LDPE is a little more susceptible to vegetable oils and, as I need to order more bottles I was wondering if I should get HDPE instead.

I've been looking for flat, oval bottles because I think they would withstand the pressure of being packed in a bag better. I'm always sure that when I zip my case closed, the round bottles will pop. These look good (depending on price.) ETA: Or these.

I recently picked the label off my old Opticlik case which I don't use. It's a great size, could hold 5 of those bottles behind the mesh and a PV and batteries under the elastic. But it is thin and rigid so I'd only use it with flat bottles.
