Happy Monday morning! It was a balmy -6 degrees here this morning. We may hit 10 degrees if we luck out today.

The results on the electronics can be pretty spectacular too. I was watching that Canon EOS 60D Camera bundle last night, Someone got it for $107.36. They bid 316 times to "win" it, (316 x .60 = $189.60 in bid costs) So, he is going to pay $296.96 for a $1,417.50 dollar camera.
Lets see how the auction company made out.... The bid price goes up one penny per bid, and each bid costs the bidder 60 cents. So, there were 10,736 bids x .60 = $6,441.60 gross. Subtract the $1,417.50 cost of camera and the auction company made $5024.10 off of all of the losing bidders.

Wonderful start us out post Mary.
I am on "high speed hold" at the house here. Daughter got a rash from the meds she got yesterday. Popped up about midnight last night. I gave her 5 grams of vitamin C, and we were able to avoid a trip to the ER. Now I am waiting for a call back from a nurse to advise the next move... probably another urgent care referral.
Just another manic Monday...

No no, we didn't do the ER thing. The Vitamin C killed the itching and she got to sleep around 1:15AM. I checked on her several times in the night. The problem is that if there are no appointments at the base clinic, then they give you a referral for Urgent Care. Without a referral, this would cost me about $300. So, I need another referral to go back and see the prescribing physician.

Ooops! I got confused between your doctor visits and your ER visits. The insurance around here is big on referrals too -you can't really see anyone without a referral.
Corn starch in a bath (or calodryl lotion) are good for rashes too.

If you lose a lot of items, even if you win a few, you'd throw away your savings on the losing efforts. I'm not that kind of gambler. I'll risk $1.80 to save $40. But I won't risk $100 to possibly save $500. The risk of losing the $100 is too rich for my blood.
