So, Deej, you said you were almost ready to start producing the cubes bro?

Yep! I've gone through different configurations for the pulsar lights... finalized that tonight.

I have a schematic for an A.G.C. circuit that I want to put together tomorrow to see if I can put a microphone into the cubes and have them respond to sound. I've already got the audio-response circuit built up, and it works well. I had to fake it a bit though, I was missing some of the proper components. I got those today, so I'm going to rebuild the audio-response to make sure it works and then hook up the mic pickup to make sure it works.

If the mic doesn't work out, though, I'm just gonna go with the patch-cord... say a Y-adapter plugged into the earphone jack of your player or pc, one side to earphones/external speakers, the other side to the cube. I spent HOURS just watching it respond to my Blue Man Group DVD - the Complex concert.

soooooo cool.

After that, I finalize the circuitboard layout, then I etch and stuff! After that, finalize the dimensions for the cube (actually, more of a rectangle because it needs to be a bit taller to hold the control circuit). Still a bit of work, but I fully expect to have a finished cube by Monday. Then I can go into production!

(whew! long post!)

That's what I said.

BTW, when I was emptying a washer last night, I heard a rattle. I assumed I had left a coin in a pocket but it turns out to have been an atomizer. Now a very clean atomizer. It's vaping like a champ.

hmmm... I'm gonna have to try that with some of MY atomizers!!!!

Goodnight Jerry. Have lovely dreams.

Ralph, no battle tonight.....just trying to clean things up on both accounts. And trying to figure out how to tell one certain player that he is an ... and I want him out of our guild......... :glare:

hmmm... could you say, "All due respect, but ... you're an ... and I want you out of our guild."

That is really cool. I used to have a lot of fun with electronics. Breadboarding and such. Designing stuff. I like your idea of putting the microphone right in the unit. Much more convenient than hooking up a line in. I have another idea that might play well into yours, with the dancing lights. I will try and get you a PM with some details.

I like that approach. Would require a vote probably.

Sweet! I look forward to seeing that!

Just as long as it's not a cube modification! No... it can even be that, just not for this iteration! Please! :)
