The employees worked 12 hour days 6 and sometimes 7 days a week, for low pay and in crowded conditions. Most of them died in the fire, because of few exits, no sprinklers or fire escapes. It was a sweat shop.

Yes but isn't it nice when it's a holiday and the paycheck and last day come on a Thursday.

Getting paid a day early is nice But when you work in payroll it just means you have to work the Sunday before

They were mostly new immigrants, Renee, just happy to have a job. After the fire, the government instituted a lot of reforms, but it was too late for them.

I just saw a commercial on Scy-fy for Ezy Smoker.....looks cheap.

I still go up every once in a while and ask if people have heard about the e-cig and I'm getting the reply, "Yes but didn't like it."
So now, I just reply to that by saying, "Bet you got it from a gas station, kios, or someplace like that, and tell them they bought the model T and expected it to be a Cadillac. Hand them an address label with the address to here and go on my merry way.

My first ecig was a hunk of junk but I could see the potential. Then I found ECF. Months later I fell into this thread and now I'm trapped here but at least I'm vaping and not smoking!!!
