Ok, here's my short answer:
Things happen to us by chance or divine plan. Either way, we cannot control everything around us. Thinking about it will drive you crazy. All we can do is treasure each day we have because we cannot tell what tomorrow brings.
A friend of mine married her HS sweetheart, divorced, married another guy years later, divorced again. Her HS sweetheart came back a better man. They remarried and lived happily together. Six months after they reunited, he fell asleep at the sofa one night and never woke up. He was 40 something.
I'm sure this doesn't help much, but it's my 2 cents...
If you don't want kids or have the patience, you shouldn't have them.
If you do, you should give them up as babies when there is a good chance for adoption or you do damage!
