When I get rid of a customer's old computers I pull the drives out, put on some goggles, and vent some frustration with a biging hammer!

In my previous life, aka working days, I had a laptop that was so slow...I nearly ripped it apart with my bare hands! Argh!!!

Some of the big chains have really started to disappoint. Best buy... Staples. Staples really sucks, but dont get me started.
I'm doing good. 
Now that has to be fun and a way to get rid of frustration, and a little extra exercise to boot.
All you need is a powerful magnet! Though that wouldn't be as.....therapeutic.
I pull the drives on boxes I donate also. But I go for the "shatter the platter" option with a 2 or 3 lb sledge.... I feel much better when it's done.

Immediate improvement when you walked out the door the last time.
I used to suggest that customers have an IT "appreciation" day once a year, and have all of the employees vent frustrations on printers that always jammed an other stuff that never quite worked right.... Then the world went green, and now that is frowned upon.
Its virtually impossbile to properly degauss a hard drive anymore. Degaussers work great for magnetic tape and floppies..... remember those?

I started a little software consulting shop, grew it from a one man op to 5 people ...got sick and left. It's still around but back to a one man shop now....so no income for me.

Hahahaha. I think I have seen that before. I think printer destruction works better with a real nasty "die mf 'er" rap going on in the background. Heck, could sell tickets at the company picnic for some of dat action.
Now I think you do a little here and there on the side to bring some in. Live and enjoy a less stressful life.
