Expired MRE's are much better. They get good when they're about 4 years past expiry!

I know. I have had some pretty ancient stuff myself. We found a big barrel of some biscuits (more like saltines) from WW II in a pillbox up on the North Shore when I was stationed in Hawaii. They were amazingly good actually.
