The GFI is just to cover their ...., in case I get electrocuted. The pedestal pump has the same requirement and I have had a pedestal pump connected to a standard outlet forever. To heck with the GFI, I like to live dangerously !!! lol.

Hi bossladyzeldaMary.

Hey mister!! If you have to go down there to check it and you have to be in the water, then you better do it right!!!

Yeah, that's true Fudgey, I will go to the hardware store and see what they have. It won't be bad if all I have to do is replace the outlet. I have done that a million times, or even better, maybe they have a GFI outlet that I can just plug into the old one. I just don't want to have to install a new outlet and a GFI circuit breaker in the box and run wire from the outlet to the box. That's a PITA.

I don't know how to do that Jerry!! I think the newsletter comes out in PDF format. I can see it on my computer here at work but not too sure how to export the pic to my home computer.

Can you copy the pic to a cd ???? Does your computer at work have a cd/rw or a DVD/rw ???

I see a DVD rom. Don't think I can burn it but I might be able to put it on my thumb drive. But then I have to figure out how to put it in my album. I don't know if I can change it from PDF to something else.

Jerry, you should try to do wiring in my house! We have thick diamond shaped metal in our walls. We changed a phone connection once that should have only taken about 30 minutes tops and took Bruce around 3 hours!!

Why does your house have thick metal in the walls ???? I have never heard of that.

He is not feeling well - sleeps a lot and has tummy aches -
the procedure is on Friday - we will find out whats going on ( I hope )
thanks for asking

I hope everything comes out all right Jojo and that they find the problem. That can be annoying not to mention scary when somethings wrong and they can't figure it out.

Hubby says you can just replace it so long as it has a good ground wire.

Kind of like plaster and lath but it's metal instead. I think it was built in the late 40's or early 50's. The metal is little diamond shapes and is like a screen. Annoys Bruce no end.

JERRY!!! Put your avi back up!!! You aren't an obtuse goose tonight!!!!!!

You have plaster walls??? That may be the reason, to hold the plaster.
