My dad drove truck for a living so I was a CB brat. Talked to all of the guys around town. I enjoyed it. But that was back in 74, 75. Long time ago.

My dad drove truck for a living so I was a CB brat. Talked to all of the guys around town. I enjoyed it. But that was back in 74, 75. Long time ago.
It was very hard work in those days, but it was true independence. Once they connected power and water lines to our houses and we started buying everything, instead of growing or making it, that's when they "owned" us.
LOL...yup. My memory is so bad now I can't remember all of the lingo. All of my CB buddies are dead now. They were more in my mom and dad's age group. Some really nice people. I actually got along better with the older crowd then.
I'm going to my nephew's football game in New Hampshire tomorrow, And then Sunday I'm having a birthday party for one of my sisters. With cooking dinner of course.

The term "break", in ham radio, means there is an emergency, but usually it means that a cb'er is transmitting illegally on the 10 meter ham band.
I was busy all week, so I'm going to have a nice quiet weekend. The Patriots game is Monday night at Miami.

Not me, no way am I going to let myself be talked into being in charge of a group again !!! Uh, uh, not even on this thread.
Edit: One exception is the "Sticky Forum" social group, but I got the power over there.
