Hi Lis. Lucky Gachy gets one of your wonderful meals.
thanks my green angel
how have you been ?
I was out of milk and coffee. The supermarket is half a block away so I decided to go tonight and beat the snow.
Too late.
It's not bad but it is beginning to stick. If it starts in the daytime, the cars can keep anything but a blizzard under control. They melt it as soon as it lands. But when it starts at night — it's going to be another mess in the morning. And I was a bad girl. I have two huge boxes of clothing to donate to Bellevue's social services department. I just didn't feel like schlepping there today. Now I'll be stuck with them until Friday at the earliest.
Do you know about that? If you have clothes that are intact but not worth anything in resale, most hospitals love to get them. People who've been in a car accident or whatever, come to the emergency room covered in blood and need something to wear home. And, with a big, public hospital like Bellevue, a portion of their clientele comes in wearing things that need to be fumigated or burned. Whenever I clean my closet, there are always a bunch of t-shirts I haven't worn in years. This time I went through my shoes (several pairs that are too small), pants (even if I lose the weight, I'm not going to wear waist-high Gap pants with cuffs), socks (Puma has quality control problems-- a pack of 3 pairs had 6 different sizes, all too small) and a couple of coats that are ratty but warm.

How is everyone???
Hi Norie, Jane Lis, Chris, and Sweet Renee
Everyone else have a Terrific Tuesday too?

That's great to know Jane. I usually give stuff to the salvation army or goodwill- hadn't thought about hospitals. I hope your storm isn't too bad.
But Lis... how could she not appreciate it...it always sounds so good. oh well, at least you get to spend time together.
