This is for my new Chuck. The 18650s and CRC123As from Lighthound arrived today. I remember that the initial charge is supposed to be longer than most -- I just don't remember how long.

On the 18650's Poeia, just charge them until the charger shows they are done. The standard lithiums don't have to be fully topped off the first time. It will not affect their life. Now are the CR123A's standard Lithium, or LiPo's?

I'm sitting here shivering!!!
Probably from going in and out all day, but it's so cold that I just had a Penguin knock on the door an ask if she could come inside for the night.

:lol::lol:

Ok, so it's been FOREVER ago since I posted anything....thought I'd pop in and say hello and MEOW! OH! and NEVER forget that "C" is for Cookie!

Hi there :)

Are you guys behaving in here?

Why would we want to do that?????

Thanks. It gets so confusing. My new phone uses standard rechargeable AAs but they had to be charged overnight before using. And this one needs 6 hours and that one needs 4 hours 17 mintues...

My Steampunk Chuck's name is Omni. I just took 2 drags on the 18650. It is lovely. I shall try 6V for the first time shortly. :D

Most phones follow the old myth that you need an 8 hour charge... Totally false if its a Lithium Ion battery. Its a carryover for the days of Nickel Cadmium (NiCd), and Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMh) batteries. For the Ni based batteries this was true, that initial charge made a difference.

I am jealous Peoia. A steampunk chuck. :hubba:

Hi everyone. :) Hi Renee :wub::wub:

Goodnight Jan, sleep warm. :)

I just followed the instructions in the book. I did know that the NiCd batteries have a memory and the new ones don't but that's it.

It's funny, I'm doing 3.7V on her now. I took the atomizer off my Little Chuck and put it on here. Save voltage, same atomizer. I didn't even refill it. But the draw is much, much lighter.
