Most cable providers don't charge for long distance unless it to China or something. I generally don't call them much.

I have family everywhere, MO, IN, TX, AR, LA. my long distance charges were getting a bit expensive before you could get phone service with the cable co..

I believe you on that one. We were on Verizon before switching to cable and they were getting down right ridicules and that was with paying for unlimited long distance. Now I just pay my $29.99 month.

I get a 120 minutes every 3 months and have collected over 1200---like I said, I don't use it much.

I have a landline because I use DSL. I could turn off the dial tone part and save like $20 a month, but the home number is associated with too many accounts and records anyway. Once every 6 months I listen to all of the voice mails.

You sound like my mother-in-law and she only clears them after we tell her too. Actually I don't think she listens to them at all.
