It's very nice wine....ok, not that nice, but it tastes really good to me after chasing people from thread to thread Deej.

You must be having a good night Jerry- you haven't been in trouble once on the thread this evening.

I just got here, Chris, give me some time to get into trouble.

HI RENEE.................................

That area (again, it's been a while since I've gone through there) is relatively undeveloped... no big businesses or anything like that. Not "small-town", but not "sprawling metropolis" either. Nice area.

It's inland and behind some lil mountains, so it can get a bit warm there... most of southern CA is technically a desert...

March AFB is in that general area, too...

I know, that's one thing that turns me off about it, he says it can get over 100 degrees there, it's dry heat, but it's still something that I am not used to. His wife didn't like it there very much and when she found out that she was terminal, she came back here to Massachusetts.

It can definitely take some getting used to.

My family moved from San Diego to the Palm Springs area when I was 13. YIKES!

But... I adapted (a benefit of youth). Now I can tolerate heat w/low humidity. Don't necessarily like it, but I can tolerate it.

You mean the blow dryer in you face kind of heat??? We have that here.

sorta... more like an oven... :)

it's the humidity that wipes me out. that's one of the reason's I pay proper worship to the God of Air Conditioning when I'm in a high heat + high humidity situation.

well... if you were to visit with the intent of seeing if it's right, I'd go once in the winter and once in the summer... get the two extremes... Spring and Autumn are pretty nice temperature wise.

One thing... you'll never have to worry about snow! :p

I have no doubt that I could easily tolerate the winters there, it's the summers I'm concerned about.

He was stationed at the Marine Corps Base near there, back in 1967 and he liked it there. That's why he decided to move there. I don't know what I'm going to do, stay here, move there, move somewhere else.

You would hate the traffic, heat, and probably lack of trees...............plus you would not leave your Dad.............at least, this is just what I think. I am not presuming to know you that well...............just sayin'.

My sister is here, Norie, maybe it's her turn to take care of him. I'm just thinking that maybe it's time for me to get my own life.
