Always, always, always get the flu shot. The one year that there was a shortage and I didn't get it, I got the flu. After 4 days I felt much better so I decided to go to the supermarket. It's half a block away. I got a cart, put in ginger ale, tea bags, crackers and turned the corner to produce to get a couple of lemons for my tea. I felt a wave of something pass over me and I stopped and leaned on my cart. The guy behind me had to stop short and he muttered something about "nice place to stop." Next thing I knew, I was on the floor. I had a scratch on my face and my wrist was swollen to twice it's size (not broken, fortunately) and they had called 911.

I still feel sorry for the guy behind me. That's exactly the type of sarcastic thing I would say. He had no way of knowing I was about to pass out. And he must have felt sooooo guilty.

Until this year it was easy -- my employers gave them out at work. When you're in a high-rise with recycled air, one case of the flu anywhere in the building and your entire workforce can be out for weeks. This year I had to schlep to the doc's.

I've been procrastinating on doing laundry (today by moving out the couch and scrubbing the floor under it. 40 year old commercial grade linoleum vs. mouse, and the mouse pee wins. But it's clean mouse pee stains.) Anyway, I finally went down with everything. And I do mean everything (except my sheets which I dragged to the Chinese laundry the other day.)
2 double loads of black stuff -- mostly pants & t-shirts
1 load of bird beds
1 load of from the couch (mattress cover, towels, etc.) which are being kept in isolation and washed with a lot of Lysol
2 loads of towels & stuff
2 of other clothes (t-shirts, underwear, etc.)

In addition to the bird beds (which were stored in a box the mice got into) and the couch stuff, about 1 1/2 of the towels & stuff loads were clean things in a mouse closet. Even so...

At least, being a night owl, I have the whole laundry room to myself.

Normally I get a flu shot. This year, I didn't because I was a bit leery of it, and was lucky, so far, Ihaven't been sick at all.
Next year, I'm getting one.

MORNING ALL.
Just a breeze through cause I got to walk the dog and go play in the pool.

Dishwasher is shot unless I want to buy a new control for a very old dishwasher. They probably don't even made the control anyway.
So in the next few days, the other one comes home. Someone actually gave us this one because they were remodeling. They bought it a couple years before they decided to redo the kitchen. Keeping fingers crossed that it still works cause I don't want to have to buy another one.

Yep, I'm thinking of all the e cig stuff I could buy instead.
Have a great morning!!!

present the guys in your house with a sinkful of suds, lol

Morning Tib.
I do and then tell them to go use it!!!

good morning-

good luck with the dishwasher Jan. If it's been sitting for awhile you might want to test the seals before installing it. I'm not sure how one might go about it, but i think the seals/gaskets can dry out and crack if it hasn't been used for awhile.

DH is already planning on doing that.
Basically just want to it get us by until tax return then will get serious about buying a new one.

How Deej first got the idea for his mood cube. :):) I want one Deej! :)
