Gee Jane you sure do clean allot. You want to come clean my house?
Do you have any idea how long I had to go without doing laundry to end up with that much? Even ignoring the mouse-touched stuff, I had 2 double loads of darks and 2-3 loads of "other." And that was only because I sent the sheets out to be done.
Actually, what I do is clean ineffectively a lot. I've lived in this apartment for 30+ years and have pack rat tendencies. As a result, I ran out of space about a decade ago. So whenever I'd clean, I'd push stuff around but, with no place to put everything, it would crawl out and cover the apartment again within days. This is the first time I've addressed the underlying problem. And the end is in sight. I'm aiming to call the thrift shop in about a week to pick up all that stuff and getting rid of it has created so much free space it's just going to be a question of organizing what's left (and I shoved it all into boxes so I can do that rationally.)
And, if the floor under the couch were not coated with mouse droppings and pee, I would not have moved the couch and scrubbed it. Fingers crossed that that phase of cleaning is done.
ETA: Dishwasher. I am sooooooooooo jealous.
