I've like changed my avatar more lately than all the time I've been on the forum---I think maybe I'll start a new folder for them.
It's all Jerry & lis' fault!!!

Well son's GF isn't coming. That's the bad news.
The good news is I can stop cleaning.

Took my poor car to the car wash---it like needed it sooooo bad.
Seems like everybody else had the same idea so I got to wait in line for over a half hour.

lol, jj sure brought back some memories! for a good while i always parked at the top of a hill so i could pop in the clutch as the car started rolling downhill!!!!!

I loved my bug. It was just so darn easy to go anywhere with it.
And I'm serious.
I drove it down a few sidewalks and some other places it shouldn't have been driven.

Then, after the daisy stickers were on, we'd put out the window shield wipers and turn them one---a Daisy Bug with feelers.
Then it was necessary to play "Let's Do It In The Road" by the Beatles while making the rounds from Steak N Shake to the Root Beer Stand.

Or I will when they get delivered this evening. But they've arrived at the store. And it only took 4 years to buy 2 cages.

Jane I'm so happy for you. I know you're excited but maybe you should give some thought on your next cage(s) purchases so they'll be here by the time these wear out!!!

4 years ago, when Poeia was 15, I decided that I had to get rid of her rotten old cage that was 2nd hand when I bought it. Because Poeia always hung out on the drop down door of her current cage, I decided on this one (full circle.) Then my pet store owner said that he wanted to buy me any 2 cages on the market as a present. It would look good and be much easier to have accessories for identical cages, etc.

My computer desk used to be next to the birds (which is why Poeia liked the drop-down door -- it was my shoulder height) so I didn't have room for two of those. I did more research and picked one. His mom does the ordering. Nothing was happening. Lots of foot dragging, etc. Finally I e-mailed her and said that it was a nice offer but Poeia was still in the same rotten cage and what did I have to do to get her a new one. So she finally made a few calls, couldn't get it, blah, blah, blah.

She retired. I moved my computer and can now fit 2 of these. Person doing the ordering said they could get cages from the company but not the Avian Premier line. Found another cage. Mom came back. She finally admitted she had been stalling on purpose -- after rent, salaries, supplies, etc. they didn't have the money to do this. I offered to pay wholesale. My gift would be that I'd get a bargain and it wouldn't cost them. And, if she'd told me 2 years earlier, I'd have done it then. And then I lost my job.

But now these aren't a luxury expense. I need the seed guards to keep mouse food off the floor.

I'm so excited!!!!!
