Thoughts and prayers are with ya JoJo----already gave you one, but here's another..... (((hug))).

Well I certainly get to do the first good morning post.
Yep, woke up at three and can't go back to sleep.
Eating some fruit and then going to do a couple little things so hopefully I'm in bed again by five for a 45 minute nap before the alarm goes off. :grr:

But any way, to all of you that follows.

And since I had plenty of time, I made extra.

Yes, the crises keep me going! LOL

I so understand that BS, LOL!
Good morning to you all. I'll make more coffee....
Back to the grindstone, another glorious work day, super excited, I just live for it, which is great because it just consumes my life and I really am unable to do the things I use to do before this wonderful job which is so nice because really, I'd rather have my strength, muscles and energy all used up at this wonderful place than use them elsewhere. Oh yes.
And I am so glad not to be celebrating the thank god its friday thing. How silly is that? It is so much more fun to work the weekends. Y'all don't know what your missing. :)

Sounds Great!!!

I can relate -- most of the time. Family business -- tires me, wears me down. Personal business endeavors invigorate me! Retirement?! Days off?! No thanks!!!

We have a family business that I oversee, do all the books, scheduling, ordering, quotes, salescalls and then I work retail management that is salary.....which means no, you should live here because they keep cutting our payroll budgets and somehow we have to make up those lost payroll hours. I've kind of had enough all the way around. I totally relate to the no days off. Not that I had to do a ton yesterday, Well, I do have a ton to do and I will eventually have to get it done. Ugh.

I am gonna see if I can't read a bit here, go dry my hair and off I go. Its warehouse day today which means unloading a truck and spend most of the day like a stock boy. I actually have learned to enjoy this day because it is such mindless work. LOL!

Got goodies from mailman yesterday. More 306 attys (heavy sigh of relief). I was so afraid this one was going to die before I got more. Yes, the crises keep me going! LOL

My theory, always have about a dozen of those at all times.

Hey missed you yesterday BS!!!

You guys will love this...

Background: Building my own juicebox. Getting supplies together. Last thing I need is tiny copper tubing.

Now remember where I live -- "The Hillbilly"...

Nearest hobby store is 30 airmiles = 50 road miles in WV, so I decided to check with local hardware store. I call, "Do you have any 1/16" outside diameter copper or brass tubing?" Bare in mind that I have no idea what this is for and have never bought anything like it.

Long silence. "I know we've got some 1/2", 3/4", " he goes on to list large sizes.

"Is this something where a hobby store would be my best bet?"

"What are you trying to do?" Pause. Deep breathe. "Nevermind. Give me a minute, and I'll go see what sizes we have."

I wait wondering how long it takes to contact the local police, state police, homeland security...

"We've got some!" He's really excited. "Ask for Ralph."

"Great! I'll be down in just a few minutes."

DH starts laughing as soon as I excitedly announce I'm running to the hardware store for my last piece for my project. He says, "Tell him it's for your still, and your next batch will be ready in just a few days."

Oh great, I hadn't even thought of that! Include ATF in the possible phone calls going out from the hardware store.

On the two minute drive, I can't help but wonder if handcuff really hurt. Is Ralph going to be in the papers for his personal involvement in capturing a hardened criminal... Nonetheless, I go boldly forward to my fate, Janty in hand.

Ralph greets me with a huge smile. "How can we help you today?"

"I just called about the copper tubing," trying to sound innocent. ( forgetting that: heck! I am innocent!). I'm using my peripheral vision to check for shiny badge or gun reflections.

"Right this way!" He's all full of energy and spry for +60 years of age.

'Maybe he's wanting to make a moonshine purchase. Or, they don't want the other customers to see the arrest "go down."'

Sure enough, "If you don't mind my asking..."

I hold up my pv, give him a big smile, and puff.

"Oh wow! I've heard about those! You want to make your own don't you?!" The man's an absolute doll.

He rushes my tubing and I to the front of the store where he has the other employees watch as I demonstrate the beauty of a pv. We all have a great laugh about whether or not they thought I was getting supplies for my "lab" or my still.

More than one of the replies I heard in the excited, overlapping conversation was, "We don't even ask what it's being used for. That would be bad for business. Everyone's!"

So, ultimately, I remain a free lady for another day. I took the opportunity to pass out my business cards and let them all know any smoker they know and/or love should give me a call.

And!!! I got my copper tubing!!!

Don't worry about it Cindy. Jojo was very happy that you got her hooked up with supplies. :) I only touched the Jokers and Snails with the message about Jojo, I am sure she is active in other places here, so please spread the word there.

Looks like we have quite the "....-crack of dawn" crew going here. Morning early birds :):)
