Thinking about making a change and getting the resumes out is a good thing, Amy. I know what you mean about the economy, just having a job, no matter how rotten it may be is something to be thankful for.

I doubt it will be in my lifetime but damn would I like to see these giant corporations that keep reporting record earnings have to back peddle a bit from the 'be glad you have a job' mentality. They are so using it to their advantage, layoffs, benefit cuts and we all have to sit back and take it because we must be thankful we still have a job.

You are so right. insurance companies (health) are certainly doing it---my son's went to outrageous this year.

That attitude of theirs goes back a long time. Workers are just part of the machinery for those money hungry SOBs.

I am looking forward to trying that malty. They were out of that and the honey nut flue last week when I ordered so I ordered blueberry, virginia, waffle, cappuccino and vanilla. I think there is a bit of chocolate in the cap one so I'll find out if it is a good chocolate or that fake tasting stuff. So far, anything with chocolate makes me gag.

I didn't like the Cappuccino or the Expresso. They tasted too much like black coffee to me and I don't like black coffee. I haven't tried the blueberry or waffle, but I like the virginia and vanilla. Right now I am vaping virginia and smoke is next.

Yep, turn and burn, especially once you hit the salary level. Unless you got friends/family in high places, then you get to move up higher. I spent most of my life working for small family owned operations. I thought the whole family favoritism would be almost nonexistent in a large corp, come to find out there is more nepotism in the large corporations than in the small mom and pop places.

Good to know, I might actually like the cappuccino one then. I thought tv's macchiato was horrid and the only other one I tried was JC's espresso, which actually was okay with a 510 setup. If I have a strong dislike for the blueberry or waffle, I'll send it to you to try....of course if I luv it, you'll have to get your own!

Here's an interesting story about how bad it was in the mills around here 100+ years ago, when women had no rights at all.

A young girl didn't feel well and went to the foreman to ask if she could go home, he got so angry that he beat her. She told her father and he threatened to press charges against the foreman. In order to avoid criminal charges, the foreman bought the father a bottle of whiskey and the father didn't press charges against him.

Makes ya sick, doesn't it ??

Yes, for a long time, things improved but now they are going the other way.
