Here in RI, the public sector unions run the state, we have high taxes and are broke. Business and residents are fleeing the state. What's good for the union members is not necessarily good for the rest of us.

I let Elsa outside and it is raining. As soon as she comes in she is like a gremlin when she gets wet. She gets so excited and bounces all over the place. I am trying to get her settled down. I am so afraid she will bounce too hard and break a bone!!

I am actually happy to be out of the teamsters union. All they did was take our money. The only way they were good was to keep me safe in my job but on the other hand they would then keep the nonproductive worker safe too.
I'm all for the private sector unions. I think of how they protected my Dad, when his company tried to get rid of the old timers and replace them with part time kids. When I got sick, I wish I had a union to help me, but I didn't, so I was thrown to the wolves.
The public sector unions are another story, because a state can't go out of business, so they give the unions what they want, in exchange for votes and just raise our taxes to pay for it.
