Maybe the battling she refers to is traffic?
Good morning, smNorie!
Good morning, smNorie!

I 'admunched' (blocker software) the facebook thingy... and am seeing the 'autosave' - which might be helpful...
Things look a bit different here on the forum but I don't see any of the changes you see Nora and Lis.
The avatars are small in kirsch but normal size in vb4main.
We're getting snow tonight 3- 6 inches!! Yahoo!!

I use AdblockPlus (free) in FF and Chrome. I like it. Is Admunch an IE addon/plugin, and is it free?

Afternoon Jan.
I wish they would fix the "Blackened" skin. It works fine except for viewing anyones profile. Has been broke since the last major upgrade. I think I will ask the question in Support.
Ad Muncher is not free, works on all browsers, but I'm using IE9. I love it and the creator is a good guy, imo.
Ad Blocker: Ad Muncher
site owners don't like it muchbut I never click on ads anyway. It can get rid of dam near anything and if it doesn't, you report it and they fix it! I can munch out someone's avi without losing them all - I see no banners here, no facebook or other buttons - the ecf heading is clean - sometimes there is a 'admunched' text but it's not intrusive. Stops sites from adding windows, changing window size, changing 'view' format, toolbars, etc. There's a way to 'stop the music' too but I haven't done that one. There's more one can do with it too - proxy servers, eliminating popup on text, etc. etc. but I don't use all the features. Paid just once and went through several updates - automatically. You don't know it's there until you want to munch something.

They said in a feedback thread to use Vb4main instead of blackened.. but I haven't tried that.
On Kirsch, or vb4main, the Notifications area blends right in and you have to have a sharp eye to notice something is there.Adblock plus does all of that, for free. There isn't one for IE though that is free...
And lack of ads is much less annoying.Adblock plus does all of that, for free. There isn't one for IE though that is free, that performs as well. On client computers where they are required to go to non-business sites, I always load up Firefox and Adblock plus so that the ads are blocked. A lot of malware gets in via tainted ads, so blocking the ads helps prevent infection.
I recall there were several ad blockers for other browsers but not for IE which I happen to like. Never had a problem with it really. It did my 'consumer reports' drill at the time and there were a lot of positive reviews from some heavies in that world too. I first did the free trial and then popped for it - $19 at the time....
That's well worth the price! I hate the ads.
