today I had to install a messenger in my computer to talk to my daugther, I hate messengers, it was like a 3 hours chat, now she wants me to buy a web cam and a microphone........ I wonder if she knows the telephone was invented years ago
LMAO!! Poor you. I can't seem to deal with chats. It's all I can do to keep up posting here. I can't even keep up with posting on 2 threads at the same time.
I don't even like to have my picture taken nevermind talking on a web camera.

After MIL passed, it was up to us to go through her stuff. Now I've been through this a couple times before so it's nothing new.
The difference this time is finally realizing the stuff we keep is a big pain-in-the-.... to others eventually!!!
So, determined not to let this be so bad on my kids, I've been going through stuff, and while doing so I'm wondering why, and I do mean OH WHY, have I kept some of the stuff.
Just gone through pictures.
Yes I see you cringing BECAUSE WE ARE TALKING PICTURES!
Of course I've saved at least one copy of any picture we are in. Sometimes both copies so each of the kids can have one.
But I did toss:
---Pictures of some place or car that I have no memory of and it's depulicate.
---Tossed several that I do remember because we haven't looked at them in years and if I want to see some statue in Gettysburg all we have to do is go online.
---Threw out pics of stuff that we took for insurance purposes that we no longer own.
---Pictures we took at some occasion (weddings, birthdays ect.) of people that we sort of knew 30 years ago and haven't seen in just about the same amount of time. I wasn't all that sure why we were invited in the first place but I'm sure they have pictures of the occasion so why am I saving them.
---Pictures from vacation of some landscape or funny car.
This list can go on and on.
I went from a couple big drawers to one tube!

My sister bought him a slide scanner. He went through them all (thousands) and saved the ones he wants on his computer. Now, when the mood strikes, he labels some and also sends copies to people who would be interested. (And they're all backed up on two flash drives.)
I had insomnia last night. At one point, I realized I was counting. "Oh, like counting sheep," I thought. Then I realized what I was counting was drops of liquid. I was dropping from a big bottle to a small one so I could try adding different levels of sweetener to it.
And the other day I passed $25,000 net savings thanks to vaping. (If I still smoked, I'd be in a panic about money as I have almost none coming in.)
Congrats on the savings.
It's got to be hard for smokers these days unless they got a GREAT paying job. A recession, inflation, and sin tax!!!
