But actually it isn't bad. It's easier for me to do it by myself than have people help.

They all did seem to leave in a hurry!!

Make em use paper plates and plastic cups and silverware!!!

But in big meals here we use real dishes except we do use heavy duty paper plates. That alone helps!
There was nine of us kids.
Didn't have too much of a problem since mom believed women feed the men first. We women, who did the cooking, had to wait ontheir asses the men to get done before we got to sit down. 
All of us girls and mom use to get into more fights because of it. All of us girls threw that belief out the door the minute we moved out!

We all ate together, Jan, but when it came to cleaning up, the men went into the parlor for a drink and a smoke, the kids stayed in the kitchen and the women did the cleaning up.
That doesn't even go over these days and I'm very happy to see the guys in there helping---even if it's just to taking the garbage out or bringing the dirty dishes into the kitchen!

Me I'm going to try to piss off a bunch of people and do Merry Xmas avatars and tell other people Merry Xmas as much as possible. That includes saying it VERY loudly when I'm in public!
