Alt 3 (the numeric pad 3) inserts the special ASCII code for ♥ on a PC, not sure about the mac. See this site. credit to KentC for the site I think

on mac i think you have to open character map to insert the heart by dragging it

No ASCII on Macs. I do have a word doc I made with all the Option and Shift+Option thingies. So now I can do é è accents, and pennies ¢.

Lis, by "character map" do you mean Insert Symbols? I don't see how to open that on a browser, but I can put it in Word and copy/paste it. ♥

remember that you can drag it, not need to copy and paste, you also have an option to insert the symbol at the bottom on the character window

Hope you got that connection fixed.... glad to see you! He might not think so but I miss Angus' comments but Sarge seems to be doing well too. Glad Angus found something else he likes to do. I've been watching firefly reruns for the first time and kinda like the show.

Poe I found that Safari works the same as text edit, here you have 2 screen shots click on them to enlarge them



remember that you can click on the insert option at the bottom of Character window...... I am guessing others browsers do the same


I am gonna make a post form the mac to see if those characters are displayed properly on a PC
