I have, on the Dangerous thread, iirc and elsewhere but never got into politics. There's a few around here - from smoking laws, threats of ecig bans, etc.
A conservative is a liberal that got mugged. A libertarian is a liberal that got mugged by the government, or a conservative that read Rand.

What can I say? I'm a nerd and we don't waste energy on such mundane things as sports and fashion, leaves a lot of time for...more important matters. We only have 2 things on our minds.
Now, there may be random access memory (RAM) on laptops, dual to quad core bare bone systems, wired and wireless...routers...but I really liked stringing twisted pairs (phone lines) once upon a time.
I bet you never thought tech could be so much fun!
