night hermanito , i think all the threads over 100k have a problem

we are gonna need a where is joker part 2

Buenas noches, hermano! :)

I suggested they start a Snails2, but was shot down quickly. There's not much slow down in my thread because it's shorter, so I think it is the length.

Good morning j0ker peeps. :)

Thursday was a brutal day for me. Came into it with about 5 hours of sleep and a broken water pipe waiting for me. Woke up to a call from a customer with no email and dysfunctional network. So, I was pinned down at the house working that remotely and waiting for the plumber. Pipe was fixed at 1PM Thursday. Myself and a colleague worked the customer issue non-stop until Friday morning at 3:20AM. I got almost 4 hours sleep when Friday reared its ugly head. Friday was less hazardous, but with little sleep, was a challenge to say the least. I got eight hours sleep last night and still feel beat.

This weekend, I am just going to try and decompress.

I think a hardy breakfast is in order.

Good morning Jerry and Jan. :)

This thread is loading pretty quickly for me this morning. We use a lot of pictures and icons in this thread. This means that your computer also has to load them from other sites such as photobucket, etc. This may account for a good part of the wait. For instance, the breakfast picture, above is stored on photobucket. The ECF server merely serves up the link to it and your browser retrieves it from photobucket and renders it seamlessly on your screen. However, if photobucket is heavily loaded down at the time it will take much longer for your browser to load the page.

Same is true for all of the facebook and twitter crap. Most of this stuff comes from outside sites.

To add to my above post.....

Also, this site relies heavily on javascript sourced from yui.yahooapis.com and I often see the browser hang: waiting for yui.yahooapis.com.

Because we are each located in different parts of the country, and each of us has a unique internet route to ECF and all of these other sites, our individual experiences will vary somewhat. For instance, If I have a slow route (bottleneck in the path from here to there) to the yui.yahooapis.com site, but you dont.... I will be waiting longer for the page to load.

Most browsers have the ability to show the raw html or code that actually renders the page. In Firefox, it's under Tools -> Web Developer -> Page Source which will pop up another window showing you the raw page. Take a look. You can see the urls of the various sites these pages depend upon.

Was just having trouble with it being slow so I cleared cookies and rebooted and things seemed to improve.
Of course I just put a ton of ebooks on my external hard drive and cleared them off this thing which might have help too.

Ralph good to see you but..............GO BACK TO BED!

Morning Jan. :)

I wish I could. My taxes loom, and then of course laundry awaits me....
