Just got my penstyle kit from totallywickedeliquid along with a 30ml bottle of high strength marlboro juice. It also came with the 4 prefilled cartridges of varying strengths. Im getting plenty of vapor from it so i dont have a dead battery or atomizer, and the cartridges are full.

Problem is, Ive been smoking this damn thing for the past 2 hours, non stop, and i STILL want a cigarette, whether I use the prefilled high strength cartridge, or a blank one that i filled. any ideas? Dripping on the atomizer does seem to work, for about 15 seconds.

Im just trying to figure out whats going on with it. Im well aware of what can happen with too much nicotine, i am just not getting any out of this thing. Im thinking there has to be something im doing wrong, i just cant figure it out. And to clarify my first post, im getting plenty of vapor directly out of the atomizer, but almost nothing out of the back of the cartridge.

Maybe part of it for you is that you need one that looks and feels more like a cigarette.

I just got my DSE901 yesterday and haven't even felt the desire for a hit of a cigarette yet after 1+ pack a day for 10 years. Maybe I am an exception because I really didn't want the harmful aspects of smoking and kind of wanted to quit, but this just makes it to easy for me.

not sure what you mean by this. are you vaping without the cart "directly out of the atomizer"?
and then getting less vapor when you put the cart on and vape?

yep. Battery is working fine, draws easily. Put the atomizer on, works great. Put a cartridge on and its nothing but failure. And ive tried several cartridges filling them different amounts

yeah i cant think of any reason for it to be happening other than a clogged cartridge which is not the case. Its clear all the way through. Only other thing i could think of is the cartridge isnt seating far enough to contact the atomizer, but that doesnt appear to be the case either.

cart should be filled until good and moist but not pooling. is the cart wool even with the top edge of the cart or pushed down?

I tend to vape pretty heavily myself.

I smoked for over thrity years and to this day am not sure what a nicotine 'high' feels like. Guess I became immune to the feeling. Even though my pen-style cigs are far from smoking the real thing, I am going on day 17 without a cigarette. Even though an e-cig is not a smoking cessation device (technically), many have found it useful to help them kick the tobacco habit.

All that said, if you are getting vapor with the carts or by dripping, you are doing nothing wrong, and your body is absorbing nicotine. Not everyone who picks up an e-cig can quit right away or, sometimes, at all.

If you intend to quit or cut back on tobacco use, give the e-cig some time, and consider why you bought it. How you think can be critical in using the device effectively to your benefit. While the e-cig is in many ways very different from analogs, you still go through many of the same motions and receive nicotine. As stated earlier, try to pace yourself.

using the cartridges i get little to no (consistent) vapor.

if you're getting good vapor from dripping and then it disappears when you put a cartridge on, it's usually a contact issue. the atomizer is not getting the liquid, either because the cart is too dry or it's not making contact.
there may be a big difference between dripping vapor output and carts too, i don't know, i never drip. the only other thing i can think of is airflow. does the LED turn on when your pulling through the cart?

i'm sorry but i'm stumped.
i'd suggest you drip until the vapor is good and consistent then pop the cart on.
hopefully someone who drips will pop in here and be better able to advise you.

I just drip mine for hours every day. I never get a hit like a cig will give, but
with this much dripping I never get the feeling for a cigarette. I even stepped it up to 36 mg. still no big hit. Just the head throb, ear ringing (overdose anyone?)
So I just enjoy two or three good puffs every 3 or 4 minutes. You just have to let yourself adjust to smokeing a different way. Don't panic.

All this presumes you have the proper carts for your ecig:
It's not clear to me if your batteries are really fully charged. I can drip with pretty weak batteries but carts don't work so well. Also you mentioned already dripping... it's possible to flood the atomizer such that you have to smoke it off with just the mouthpiece before you can successfully use a cart again. You can also blow it out (remove atomizer, turn vertical with mouth end down on a napkin, blow through the hole, tap it lightly on the napkin to get extra liquid out, then add 1 drop juice and try a cart with a fully charged battery, 4-8 hours charge).


Shoes: head throb and ear ringing? Wouldn't want to see your blood pressure. I'd step down the strength, for sure.
