Which 510 Cartomizer?

I've been trying to read through the descriptions on the Ikenvape site to figure which cartomizer I should try. I also read through the stickied comparative carto review but it seems to be outdated. Which one should I try?

Considerations:

1) I vape 100% VG so it needs to wick well.

2) I care most about flavor. I gravitate mostly towards the sweet flavors like Waffle, Vanilla and Chocolate. I also enjoy a sweet tobacco or RY4.

3) Vapor production doesn't matter much. Since I vape VG, I usually get plenty of it with just about any atomizer or cartomizer.

4) I prefer a low throat hit.

5) I'm vaping on an eGo and soon (hopefully) a REO Mini so the cartomizer needs to be optimized for 3.7V.

I don't know about cart's for 100 percent vg juice, but the LiquidXpress cartomizers are excellent. I have used some 70/30 pg/vg and all I had to do was let the blank carti soak up the juice for a couple of minutes before vaping. The filler is pretty tight, so apply a few drops and watch it soak in, and then apply a few more. Repeat a few more times until it's not soaking up any more, and you are good to go for a while. No condom method, or it'll push the juice out the hole. These carti's are good for a 2 to 3 days, and I use them all the time, since I drive a lot and don't want to refill very often. Just my 2 cents!

Gold fits more more juice - more soaking material (might be longer -- Mega).. Hopefully someone else can chime in.

The Gold V2 wicks super fast! But you may want to thin out your VG a little if using in any carto.

The Platinum is much like the Boge/LiquidXpress cartomizers as LQ developed the core of it. It has an airy draw much like a fresh 801 and disperses heat throughout the body due to it's vertical coil position. The Gold has a bottom horizontal set up and works much like a well providing heat to vaporize the liquid from the bottom of the unit. The Plat does deliver more flavor than the Gold but the Gold makes up for it by providing a bigger capacity and a lower juice consumption rate. Most comparable to the Gold would be the Joye set up. Even though the two derive from the mentioned manufactures they both have been fine tuned in filler density and strengthened heating elements.

The Gold V2 is our own personal creation that combines best of both styles by keeping the capacity at maximum, vertical element position and modified adapter to keep air flow constriction evenly. All 3 of the mentioned units can operate in between 3.4V through 5V.
Like Vaporo said, 100% VG is never a good thing with cartomizers. If you are allergic to PG, I would suggest mixing a dash distilled (mineral free) water or PGA (Pure grain alcohol) as a replacement for PG. Too much VG will shorten run times and will clog up and destroy cartomizers in as little as 2 days worth of use. The same princaple applies to atomizers except 1-2 weeks.

Like Vaporo said, 100% VG is never a good thing with cartomizers. If you are allergic to PG, I would suggest mixing a dash distilled (mineral free) water or PGA (Pure grain alcohol) as a replacement for PG.

I've learned to thin out VG juices while using the eGo tank which is really finicky about consistency. So far cartomizers seem to be more forgiving than tanks in that respect but I don't mind adding some DW or PGA as needed to keep them wicking right.

which carto would you recommend for an ego user? im using roughly 50/50 liquid. i would like the best vapor/flavor combo...dont want to lose too much of either. i dont care about juice consumption either way.

i will order 30 or 40 of them next week and want to make an educated purchase. im using BMF cartos right now and they are awesome....but i want 510 threads.

EDIT: after reading for a while i think i have setteled for but the gold v2 and platinum v2, however...i just noticed that the platinum is out of stock. any word when its re-stocked?
