So, after some delays, I sent my grand off to Rob to mill down. I had asked him to send a rm4 back with it, but now that the rm5 has dropped, I'm curious to hear from anyone who's tried both, or an afc cap on their igo-w, which is the preferred afc atty sold be Rob? I know I'm leaving the cyclone out of the discussion for now. I've got a non-afc cyclone and while I'll eventually get an afc cap for it, I want to give my patronage to Rob to encourage more development like he's been doing. So which is it folks? Igo-w (and which afc cap did you pick up elsewhere), rm4, rm5?

Reomizer 4 is the first REO website model with AFC, AFAIK, and reviews are very good. I modded a Magna, if you have that capability, it's a great atty. And like Jet Knight, I enjoy the RM2 and RM3 which seem to be perfectly matched for the Reo. But the small chambers on the RM2 and RM3 extract amazing flavor, possibly more then you will get with larger bodied attys. But bottom line, pick up an RM4 which has you AFC and is already customized for bottom feed.

By the way, I want to once more thank Rob for the tremendous and quick customer service in solving an issue for me. One reason you can't go wrong buying Reo products, whether produced in house or not.

Are the caps on the rm4 and rm5 set up so that you can run a single coil and keep the airhole on the other side closed?

it is on the RM4, not sure on the 5. RM4 has 3 air holes, you can line up 2 (opposites) for dual coil or 1 for single coil. single coil I would look for something with a smaller chamber, rm2 or 3 I think (although I don't have either (yet) and am free to stand corrected)

Igo is designed to be run as duals only, unless you start blocking airholes. The Atomic can be run as dual or single coil as vengaman says, but its larger chamber size makes it better for duals imo.

For single coils i cannot beat the RM2, so i use that for ease of use and simplicity at work, and at weekends or when i want to fog out the office at work, i use duals in the Atomic.

Having now tried both the RM4 and RM5, I now realize that perhaps, I'm just a single coil guy. Though I do enjoy the RM3 duel coil RBA, more than the RM2. RM5 is a wider atty, and easier control of the air hole. IMO, the RM5 looks better. Advantage of the RM4 is that you can just leave one airhole open. I guess my lungs are just a bit too sensitive for the dual coil, super subohm RBA's. :vapor:

Ok. I just realized I didn't ask the important question--can the rm4 and rm5 be closed entirely? I assumed that the rm5 couldn't be, due to the inability to shut down to just one hole.

Rm4 yes but then you'll just suck juice out of the bottle, unless you're thinking of leak control, pocket/suitcase?

" i don't mind going into that board meeting with juice stains all over my suit...I'll turn that around, make it work for me! "

i carry my gear in a phone case on my belt, so i cannot vouch for how leak-resistant any atties are. I suspect that any that turn sideways after a healthy squonk are a potential hazard.
