3.2 ohm or 2.5ohm? (Planning on getting 306s and 510s)
In a battery box mod with two 14500s??

We've been using 3.2 (I think-they're from wicked and were all ordered forever ago, are pink or red with gold connectors and say MP on the side) but haven't tried 2.5 ... also is there any particular "maker" to go with? I notice that madvapes has bauway but doesn't have boges or slb any more..

Are any of the cartomizers good for 5v these days? I don't ever want any of the CE2s again..
I've never used 801s or 901s - are they worth trying??

Thanks!!

My preference at 5V is a Joye 510 standard resistance. I believe they are 2.3 -2.5ohm. It is really a great flavorful Vape. I buy them in bulk from Puresmoker.com. If you buy one atty the cost is 9.99 ea. if you buy 25, they are bulk discounted to $5. It's a good atty at a good price if you can buy the bulk. Smaller quantities are less expensive elsewhere.

Oh! And also, the 901 atomizer is a lovely thing! Yes, worth giving ago IMO. I don't have experience with them at 5v however. But dripping on a LR 901 with a 3.7v set up is really a tasty treat for me. Don't see why it wouldn't be a nice experience at 5v with a 3ohm 901. Drip shield is kinda a must...they're leaky buggers.

The right 801's are perfect for 5 volt vaping. Because they have bigger coils but tend to be cooler on 3.7v models, they really come alive, IMO on 5 volt models.

The two 801 type attys I suggest you try are both low bridge models. The first is the BE112. I know you can get them at Puresmoker.com and BestEcig. The other option is the mini-801 from Ikenvape. The mini 801's are 2.5 ohm (I'm pretty sure) and the BE112's are about 2.8 ohms.

No one talks about the Sweet Spot anymore.

Most folks find around 8 watts to be the Sweet Spot for vaping at any voltage/ohm combination.

Follow this chart and you'll see why 2.0 ohms are commonly used with 3.7 batteries and 3.0 ohms are used with 5 volt batteries and so on. It's all about putting you in the Sweet Spot range. This may help.

Ggggrrrr.. It's being constrained by forum limits I think. Right click on it and choose View Image and it will open in a new windows much larger. At least it does in Firefox. On the new page you can right click and save image. You can also blow it up in your favorite image manipulation program.

I've been using IO6 atty's from ikenVape for the last few weeks. I really like them and would recommend you try them. The IO6 is a proprietary format of the 306, you'll need an IKV driptip to fit it. They vape nice, don't flood or leak unless you really, really over drip. I've been using one atty a lot for close to a month now, everyday from 8am to 11pm. And it's still tasting and vaping fine.

Just started a couple days ago using an IKV 510 2.5ohm atty. I like this one too, but not as much as his I06.

They atty's are available in a range of ohms from 1.5 to 3.5. IKV also has a good selection of 510 carto's from 1.6 to 3.0 ohms.

I do concur. Ciscos and IKV attys are superb. Are 801s or 901s worth trying? In a word: YES. We all seem to find our sweet spot somewhere and it would be great for you to try different attys and ohms. You will find out what you like, and it may not be what the person before you, or after you, liked.

Viva la difference.

May depend on the threading/style...also... do you want TH or flavor?

For me on a 510... authentic Joye 510 3.0-ish ohm atomizers.

https://www.cignot.com/product_p/510-att-tre.htm

I can't edit my post above (post #4)... so this is an addendum. That product seems to have changed:
1) it no longer has the plastic "shipping carts" attached to the atty (has rubber caps).
2) tastes a bit different (slightly warmer IMO but will break it in).

So note that they are OK, but my comment about them being 3.0 ish (2.8 or so) ohms is no longer correct. Vendor swears they were always 2.4 ohms. Thought they were 2.8 - 3.0 at one time (almost positive.. since I put a DMM on them several times). Oh well. Just be careful of the ohms to ensure its what you want.
