Which battery to get...

Hello,

I am looking for suggestions on my first battery. Specifically between The AW 1600 18650 or the Sony VTC4. I am open to suggestions though.

At the moment I am looking at getting the xtar wp2 II charger, or the Xtar MC1. Leaning towards the WP2 II charger though.

I have no plans to Sub ohm. I will be using tanks/clearomizers/cartos with my sentinel clone. Probably in the 1.8-ish range. Shouldn't come close to putting to much of a strain on the batteries if I ran the numbers right.

Thanks! I also found a couple forum posts on this site that were of similar thoughts. Made the decision and went ahead with an order of a couple AW's. I'll pick up a sony later.

The Sony VTC4 or 5 would be my recommendation, the higher the continuous amps, the safer and more useable power. The AW 1600 is ok, but you won't find a button top that will match the performance and safety of a 30 amp continuous flat top.

Agree completely. I have used my Sony with numerous set ups and have had no issues sub ohm or not. The aren't very pricey and the peace of mind is nice too. VAPE ON!

I have about a dozen Sony VTC4 batteries, well have had for at least 6 months now and have not been dissapointed. Great batteries. Never fail!!

I haven't used an AW battery, but nothing beats the 30A output and reliability of the Sony battery in my opinion. I own two VTC5s (same battery, but 2600 mAh) that I constantly push 24-30W out of and they've performed stellar.

At the resistances you're running, either option is fine. I'd go VTC4 just for the slightly higher mAh, though.
