At the minute, the kanger mini with the rba inside. But im going to be using the mutation x v4 dripper and this kanger for a bit I think. BTW how do I change my forum name. Do you know, I don't like having my name up. Thanks for the reply.

Howdy! Welcome to the ECF! I can't exactly help you on the changing-your-name front, but I can help you with battery choices!

You're gonna want an 18650, ideally something 20A (or higher). So I'd recommend a Sony VTC4 (30A), or a LG HE2/HE4 or a Samsung 25R. The 30A battery is nice, but unless you're building super crazy sub-ohm it isn't necessary (and with a 50W device, that's not really even an option) so a 20A battery will suffice just fine.

Use a good vendor for your batteries, such as Illumn or RTDVapor, and you'll have nothing to worry about in terms of battery authenticity. Keep in mind that high-mAh batteries usually have low amp ratings. The amp rating is the important part, not as much the mAh.

Thanks. One last question. I am getting into the rba's and I like the kanger mini with the rba bit. Are there any other rba's that are similar in terms of building and filling, or top fillers? I like the look of the lemo and the billow but don't like that fill hole. Thanks again

The Zephyrus is basically exactly what you're looking for. Granted, it's slightly larger than the SubTank Mini, but it offers top-filling, an RBA section, AND pre-built coils.

Thanks for your help nyiddle (is the ny for new york?) I'm from England so I don't know. K, that's great but I don't mind if the tank has no pre built coils. Is there anything else you can think of that is just rta? That tank is lovely though. Thanks

Atlantis or the Atlantis 2 are great options to choose. Or possibly even the Delta 2 or the Arctic. All four are great options to pick from, and it pretty much boils down to personal preference at that point.

Heh, I mean, I am from New York, but "nyiddle" was a made-up word I came up with about 11 years ago. Stuck with it, and here we are! Also I didn't realize you were from the UK, you might have some difficulties/shipping issues getting your batteries from Illumn/RTDVapor (although, maybe not). I know there are battery suppliers that are UK based, but I'm not sure what the sites would be.

If you're looking to strictly go the rebuilding route I'd recommend something like the Erlkonigin clone -- although I'm not the biggest fan of the plastic tank. The alternative routes would be something like a Kayfun (again, I can't say I'm the hugest fan). There aren't that many top-fill tanks out there, oddly.

Cool nyiddle, I quite like that zephyrus anyway. Looks good. Too into aesthetics at the mo. Ta for your help. Cheers Matty316, relating to my previous message, do you think they will be ok for a dovpo mini 50w? Also, is the Mah on external batts similar to that of the 'pre-built' batteries? I have an istick 20 watt with a2200 Mah battery inside and it lasts me the full day.

Yeah samsung 25r's will be fine in that mod they are 2500mah so slightly higher than the fixed one in your istick.

Most of the 20A batteries are 2500 mAh.

Here's a tip for you. If you put an "@" in front of a users name it will "tag" them and send them an alert. Just like this @Zutankhamun That way if they have their alerts turned on they will come back to the thread.

does it matter if the batts are protected or unprotected for this device? Sorry if its a silly question. I'd better do some more research.
All personal vaporizers should use only high drain, safe chemistry (IMR or Li-Mn) batteries. Not ICR or Li-ion protected batteries.

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected ICR?

Deeper Understanding of Mod Batteries

For your application, the following batteries are recommended:

Samsung25R 2500mah 20 amp
LGHE2 2500mah 20 amp
AW IMR 2200mah 20 amp
Sony VTC4 2100mah 30 amp
Orbtronic SX30 2100mah 30 amp
Efest 2100mah 30 amp (purple)

I strongly recommend you purchase either from RTD Vapor, Illumination Supply, Lighthound, or Orbtronics.
