AGR - if it is ever available, UDCT in gun metal to match my VAMO, or should I not worry so much much about a locking tank and go with one from Valley or IBT? I seem to be hung up on the locking aspect as I carry my device in my pocket usually and my OCD makes me want to get something that matches well. Should I ignore these thoughts and go for a higher quality tank since this is my first go at it? Also, which cartos would you recommend using with the tank you suggest. Should I buy a carto punch tool or stick with prepunched ones? I will definitely buy a tank tool to avoid messing up the o rings.

One last thought, is there a tank whose diameter matches the VAMO well?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I was worried at first about the tank coming apart too but it hasn't, and I carry it in my pocket. I have an ibtank with a boge carto, which I punched myself. Going on a full week with the same carto, no issues.

I have looped a rubber band around the tank top and bottom though, when I carry the PV in my briefcase.

The locking tanks are a solution to a problem that never really existed. Tanks will not come apart or slide off your battery device if proper handling is practiced. It's common sense to handle your PV by its body, and not the tank. Carrying them in a pocket is safe, just remove them from the pocket by grasping them by the PV, and not the tank.

I've seen a lot of issues on the forums with the locking tanks currently available. A quick scan of threads here in the tank forum will confirm this.

Baditude, I was ready to pull the trigger on on a locking one and started reading the negative reviews. Sounds like IBT had some issues as of late as well with their o rings not fitting properly. I'm leaning towards one from valley vapes.

I have ordered 6 tripple V xl tanks from Valley Vapes so far. A couple of people in my family are using them for a while now. These are fantastic tanks. IMHO, at $21.99, they are a steal !

I have an IBTanked 19mm XL and have not had any issues with it. The complete set comes with the tank tool and extra o rings if you do need to change them. And it pyrex, which is important to me as I enjoy cinnamon and citrus, which are known to crack and melt plastic tanks. Oh, and smoketech prepunched 2 hole cartos. I have a carto punch just in case, but haven't tried it yet.

I have seven IBTanks, each one purchased over a few month's time and have not had any issues with them whatsoever; that's why I promote them so heavily. I have had two pyrex tanks from another vendor fall two feet from a dressing room bench onto tile floor, and both have totally shattered. The IBTanks have fallen from the same bench and not suffered a crack. Could just be a coincidence, or perhaps they are a more durable pyrex.

The pyrex tanks from Valley View Vapes are a wider diameter tank (1 inch or 25mm) than the 19mm diameter IBTanks, something to consider if you use a slimmer PV like an eGo or Provari.

IBTanked will be offering a 22mm diameter pyrex tank sometime very soon, in addition to the 19mm and 25mm currently being offered.
