Which e-cig should I buy?

That's right, that question.

I smoke about a pack a day, and I hope to replace smoking entirely with an e-cig.
I would prefer a manual battery, since I hear automatics run out quicker. However, I only need a day of charge so I don't need something Empire State Building size.
I want something that rips, obviously, but at the same time I don't want it running out of power too quickly or burning up juice too fast.
If I could find one with all of that and no brand name on it that would be awesome. If not, I've been leaning towards the totallywicked Tornado, but if you think there's something better than that for me go ahead and let me know.

ps. Price IS an issue.

I think cartomizers are the way to go. Especially for getting started. I'll list my favs, and you can take a look.

Welcome to the New BLOOGPLANET.com - The Future of Smoking - Your One-Stop E-Cigarette Resource < This imo is great gear. A bit pricey, but flawless function. They have a guy on the ground in China keeping an eye on production, and imo, it shows. BUT< they have no juice YET.

Vapor4Life-Because it's your life - E-Cigarettes/Smoking Alternatives < Great gear as well. I'm not a fan of their cartos, but they have a huge following on ecf. Batteries are great, and have a massive supply of juice and flavors.

NHaler • Smoking Alternatives < I've only dealt with Drew 5 or 6 times, but he really has great stuff. As a matter of fact, people of ECF report that his dripper(I think I'm right here) series is the same as Bloog's but cheaper. But I have not tried them yet, so can't say for sure. A device he sells that I am in love with at the moment is called the IGO. 70 bucks for two big batteries that last me all day with heavy vaping, and massive cartos that hold 3ml of juice(a lot lol).

So check these guys out, and see what you think. Good luck, and I hope this gives you some direction.

Well, I was looking for something very similar to what you described. I agree with you not liking how the roughstack looks because I don't either. I decided to go with an Ego, and it has everything you are looking for as well as a sleak and nice looking design which I like.

It is name brand, it's a Joye, but you can get a starter kit for $50.00 at Liberty Flights where I got mine. Comes with two complete units... so you get two atomizers, two batteries with it which is nice. USB wall charger, and all the other stuff you get with every kit. You are going to want this so you have two batteries and have one on the charger while you use the other. You want two atomizers so you have a backup if the other goes out... so it's about the cheapest deal for what you get I have found. Yes, there are cheaper kits out there I found, but they either come with only one atomizer, or one battery etc. so you pay for what you get.

It's the only e-cig I've tried so I can't really tell you about anything else, but I was looking for pretty much what you described also and I got it in the Joye Ego. It has great battery life (One battery lasts me all day and I vape constantly), it has great throat hit, great vapor and obviously you want something that looks good and it has that too. It's one of the most popular e-cigs out there, I haven't seen a bad review on it yet.

All that + a bottle of juice and you really can get out of there for $60.00 give or take and you'll be good for awhile until that next paycheck or whenever you got some extra cash to try more juices, mods or what have you. Basically, that's exactly what I'm doing. Good luck to you!

A day of charge is not the size of a cigarette. And what do you mean by day> 8 hours? 24 Hours?

100mah is about an hour of moderate vaping

Joye 510 manual 180mah
Joye 510 Mega XL Manual (128mm w/ a carto) 280mah
KR808D-1 aka Vapor4Life standard manual (120mm w/ a carto) 280mah

That is typical for slimmish (9.2mm) cylindrical ecigs. You need to recharge during the day unless you carry a bunch of them with you. And those ones I listed are the most popular slim minis. I use all of them.

To get a longer charge you have to go to fat battery models (like Ego or Riva 510 at 650mah-1300mah) or mods.

Re MANUAL batteries - there are lots of benefits to manual batteries but I don't know if they make batteries last longer. They do keep the battery from turning on accidentally from wind or vibration. And they are much safer against death or damage by juice leaks. They also give you more control of your hit. Most people here use and recommend manuals.

There are charging cases for the slim minis that can charge 3 or 4 batteries on the go. But it's easy to screw up with a PCC and end up with no charged battery. Besides having a PCC for when I am truly away from power, I have a charging setup at work AND I carry a charged Riva 510 battery from Liberty-Flights.com so that is many hours battery charge for my 510 threaded stuff.

I just bought my roommates eGo kit and 8 5mL juices for $70 because he didn't like it.
He literally had it for less than a week, so it's basically brand new, and some of the juices aren't even opened yet.
I like it so everything worked out. I was about to buy a kit from NHaler but dude didn't want his so I came up yee.
Thanks though, feel free to use this thread as another guide for n00bs.

Nice! Did you take my advice and decide to buy the ego from him? You won't be disappointed, like I said before I wanted everything you want and I haven't been disappointed with mine.

TekknoGekko,
I am a noobie to the E-Cig scene too. A friend of mine let me try one of her Vapor4Life E-Cigs and I fell in love with it. Their prices are quite reasonable and they ship with Blazing speed! Plus they have different Discount codes that they email to you if you sign up with them. I signed up with them and in just a few days I got an email from them with a 21% discount code. That did it for me, I ordered Immediately! I even passed that code on to a very good friend of mine so that she could afford to buy a set up. :)

I should be receiving my kit in a couple of days. :)

For Flavors I am going with the Menthol and also the Berry Products. My next order will be for Pineapple Flavor, Blue Berry and maybe even Peppermint and Spearmint flavors. :)

Richard
