I would love to try the E-cig, but I'm just not sure which is the best for me. I hear alot of the one from njoy, but I would still like to ask just in case. I know there is a place called E-cig.com that has too good to be true prices, and I would like to ask if that place is any good. If there is a better place with a great price, anf great product, I'd like to ask where.
Also keep in mind that I would like to buy the Mini Cig....

Go read the thread on device preferences in the General section. There are two makes to consider: the 901 and Janty Kissbox. Buy NOTHING from E-Cig.com. If have several spare hours, you can read pages and pages of blistering rants about that sorry company elsewhere on this forum.

If you buy anything other than a 901 or Janty ... you'll buy again soon.

Is the 901 a mini e cig generic name ?

The best devices are

901
Janty (either the penstyle or the Yentyl)
Bling Cigar
Ruyan Vegas Disposable cigar
LoongTotem (Expensive, but the best mini out htere, has disposable atomizers right in the cartridges, but battery issues are a problem for some- I've got 3 good batteries, and one was bad)
Several people like Jane's mini, I think it is a Yentyl clone, but much less expensive?

There are actually quite a few good devices out htere, but most people like the 901 which you can get for around $50, but it has small cartridge, and doesn't last as long as the penstyles do on a charge.

I love the LoongTotem myself, and have put aside all other devices. The atomizer/cartridges are lasting me a couple of days, battery lasts about approx 3 hours, and when hte atomizer dies- no worries, I just pop in a new cartridge/atomizer, and away I go. It's also got a very small form factor (If you get the smaller battery), and it produces a ton of vapor- best vapor producer around really.

It's smaller than a pen style, larger than a fake cig with a battery that lasts an hour!
an hour ?
an hour continual use maybe, but you could smoke 10-15 real cigs in an hour if you continually smoked.

if you used the 901 like you do smoking hot cigs , expect it to last 4-5 hours.

If i soley use my 901 all day i would use theoretically 1.75 batteries.

and i was a 25-a-day rolly man

Smokeintheye, Naz and I agree that the mass market future of e-cigs is a disposable like LoongTotem. I, too, have tried that cig and it's as good as anything available. It's sole problem is cost. I also have the Ruyan Vegas disposable cigar -- great piece, but think of it as dessert, not the main course. The less time a battery or cartridge lasts, the more of those you must take with you every time you leave home. It gets worse than making sure a cig lighter has fluid and flints, you have enough cigs with you, etc. You'll need a tote bag just to take your needed e-junk with you out on the town. ("This could be a three-battery evening!")

As a general rule: The smaller the device, the quicker its battery and cartridge give up.

Go for practicality, not appearance, and you won't go wrong.

Apostle: I wasn't speaking of the 901 battery and use. Those are fine. It's the little mini toys that die with an hour's use. I have a few in my junk box. A 901, to me, doesn't look like a cigarette. It looks like an e-cigarette. I like it.

I would never recommend a tiny e-cig with 89mm batteries that are a dead ringer for the Marlboro Red you're giving up. Pass on 'em. Or live to regret the decision.

901 or Janty Kissbox. Your choice.

Smoke- I can't recommend the LoongTotem UNLESS you don't mind taking a chance on whether or not your batteries will work good- the battery issue is a real crap shoot honestly- BUT, IF you don't mind taking a chance, and have the $$ to do so, then and only then would I recommend takign hte chance as it's a very good ecig if the batteries works right- I've been 'lucky' with only one bad battery, while another forum member has received several that didn't work right I guess.

Prices have dropped some, but htey are still expensive, and LoongTotem rips you off with hte shipping because they label EVERY single item as being .5 kg, even small batteries, which ramps up the shipping costs- They told me they were 'working on the shipping' "issues" but I doubt they've changed that policy yet.

I've been very pleased with hte loongtotem, but then again, I've not minded throwing a lot of money to get soemthign I like.

One minor complain though is the taste of hte cartridges- it's quite bland (although if you ask for hte 24 mg cartridges, they have tasted better and had better throat hit- but ya gotta email loongtotem and tell them you want to the 24 mg- they have it, but don't list it on their site yet I guess)

We all were waiting for a company called GreenCig to come out with a similar product, but they dissappeared for some reason- but ECig.com has a product that looks like the LoongTotem with hte atomizer in the cartridge as well, but haven't heard from anyone if it's truly the same as the loongtotem- if it is, it will be MUCH less expensive, and a MUCH better buy, and if it's the same product, I would then recommend them over the loongtotem- but we' just don't know yet if it's the same or not.

ahh ok TBob gotcha.

i wouldnt slate the supermini's completly tho. they have their place in the e-cig world.

I have one...but then i know it's limits..and i only use it for the smoke break fitting in type scenario, very occasional use.

it's just a shame first timers pick the supermini because it looks like a cig and expecting it to last 20 cigs on 1 cart and the batt to last all day only to become really disappointed and tar all e-cigs thereafter with the same brush.

sm0ke , that's pillbox38's webshop can't go wrong with him either ( pillbox38 is his user name here ) so yes it wil be a DSE901b

i've never done the egg cup thing , i just bought some dropper bottles for topping up and some syringes for refilling and extracting. 10ml syringes with a 1mm diameter blunt needle are ideal like THESE

That's exactly what I did- Was VERY dissappointed with hte first mini that I got- At that point I didn't know about hte LoongTotem, and if I had, I coulda saved a ton of money, but I kept trying different devices hoping for somethign that I liked.

Just a note about hte loong- the cartridges will definately last more than a pack of real ciggs, which is another strong positive point for hte device (as well as hte fact that the cartridges can be refilled too- extending their life further), but you'd still need to take along a couple of spare batteries if you were goign out for a long time. When I go off for hte day, I'll either pop in a new cartridge, or refill one that isn't too old, and it will last the whole time I'm out easily- but I do carry a small bottle of juice in car just incase, but haven't had to use it yet. I do carry an extrac cartridge with me if I am going to be gone all day, but again, I've only had to use hte extra one once when an older refilled cartridge burned out on me 1/2 way htrough the day.

But again, the loong has some strong positives and soem strong negatives- but again, if hte Ecig product is hte same, then the price would in my opinion justify giving these neat little ecigs a try.

Dunno if a supplier in the states can work a deal with Ecigs.com to sel those here if they indeed are the same as hte loong ornot? Hint Hint to UD dealers :) lol
