Which is better - refillable cartridges or the ones you throw away when they're done?

maybe it's more about personal preference, but i'm curious to hear which people think is better (and why), the refillables or one timers. is there more value to the refillables?

also, i've seen some people refill the one-time cartridges. is this safe?

I'm into easy and simple, and for me the pre-filled are hassle-free. As long as i am spending less on cartos than i was on cigarettes, I'm gonna stay with convenience. I have refilled a few of the one timers I have, but have not yet found a juice that works for me.
