I put the silver contacts in my Grand. They do make quite a difference. They do require great attention and checking before use but I like them.

I've heard they make quite a difference, it's just my personal preference to keep the spring. I don't need the extra difference in power delivery. Overall I am just more comfortable using a mod with some rudimentary protection. Most of the mech squonkers don't have any protection, I tried the Coppervape for a few days, but just felt uncomfortable using it day to day. Mind you I am probably unusual in as much as I still vape small single coils at above an ohm. I am a dinosaur :)

I completely understand your reluctance to leave the spring. It took me while to actually do it; I had to think on it for a while - even after the contacts arrived. I take great care with short checks.

Does anyone have the Lost Vape Drone BF 166? I was looking into this mod too. Obviously it's a pricey mod. I'm wondering when this mod was released and also if people are happy with it.
I don't have it, but I do have several Therion bf. Most people on forums say the Drone squonk window is not very comfortable and sometimes the door gets loose? My understanding is that they released another batch, possibly some fixes?

I have a Pulse 22, 4 wrap Clapton wire, 0.5 ohm. On my reg Pico, that's thick and flavorful, but on the Wraith it's weak and the flavor changes like the air flow is different. I put several RDAs on and it's just different.

I can Kinda Relate to this.

Because my Pico (and iStick 40w's) do hit Differently at a given Wattage than my other Regulated Mod's. Just like my Pico Squeeze hits Differently than my CopperVape.

Maybe it has something to do with PWM or however the Pico actually makes Wattage?

Oh thanks for the validation rather than saying I'm crazy. Cause I was thinking I might be crazy. Spoiled by Pico I guess. I don't what the difference is.

When Robert E. O'neill (R.E.O.) introduced his bottom-feed box mods, there really wasn't anything like it. Everything else was pen-style (eGo, Spinner) or Tube mods (Vamo, ProVari, Golden Greek). "Dripping" was actually the mainstream way of vaping, although Kanger was producing the T2 and T3, and the Vivi Nova (tilt and swirl) was popular. The REO stood alone for years as an indestructible mod that provided dripping flavor without the dripping that required little maintenance.
I've been vaping now for over five years, and I am am still quite fond of my REO Mods. I have an eLeaf Pico on the way (riding the slow boat from China) just to try TC vaping. I own a couple of little used ProVaris as well. But I still go back to my REO.
It is good to see Bottom Feed mods finally stepping into the mainstream. Don't seem too surprised if Reonauts seem partial to their mods, for years it was the only BF option we had (other than the little produced Hana). Some have derided the REO lately as "Old Tech", but it was a forerunner that went against vaping styles at the times. And those of us who were considered part of the REOVille "Cult" still have our mods years later.

I have 3 whole squonker guys!

My Pico squeeze is my favorite. Tiny, reliable, and has taken more beatings than a $25 mod should be able to. I personally go through batteries pretty quick, but that's my vape style.

Wraith feels nice in my hand, but once the battery is under ~60% it's close to unvapable. That's pretty ridiculous in my opinion. Also the bottom door on mine was officially wrecked and nonfunctional in 3months or less.

And my driptech-ts has issues. It has potential to be my favorite if I can get it to fire every time I hit the button, but that isn't currently the case. My husband's ts is pretty awesome tho, if that counts for anything :p
Additional thought on the driptech: I will never buy another one new myself. I haven't managed to convince 528 to respond to me about the issues I'm having and I just personally don't wanna support that. So even if it ends up being my favorite, it's most likely a one-and-done for me.

All of this is based on lung inhale cloudy vaping, btw. The wraith may be good for MTL as the battery lasts longer, etc.

I came late to the squonk party (less than a year ago) but have quickly reached the point where I have almost all of the mods and attys I need or want. Currently have 2 custom classics, 2 freehand S, and soon to be 2 BAM ultem dna 75s. To start out with I used a therion, a pico squeeze and a coppervape. Still have those but they have seen less to no use as I acquired higher end mods. I have room for one more CC in my collection and will be ordering it after christmas.

Also got caught up in the black friday madness and ordererd a 5g supercar and a hellfire venom x clone as an excuse to try 20700 batteries. If those turn out ok I will probably use them as beater mods to pair with clone atomizers.

I've pretty much hit my limit as to what I can reasonably use or even want at this point so after that last cc I'm hoping to just settle down and stop acquiring new gear for awhile.

None of the newer crop of affordable gear or even higher end 3d printed or stabwood unicorns really interests me.

Atty wise I have more awesome authentics than mods to put them on, but I would buy another nuppin in a heartbeat if I could find one (scored my first one recently and it is now my fave), as well as an M atty. Otherwise I'm content with my collection for the first time in over 4 years of vaping.

How much did that m-atty cost you? I have a bunch of hi end mods that cost a bunch, but none over 600, and it blows me away that a matty is often twice that. I'm on modtrader and CFT sites alot and very rarely see mattys for sale and when I Do, they are off the charts

Sorry, I meant I would like to get my hands on one along with another nuppin. No way I would spend more than retail for one though. It's just a dang atomizer afterall! [emoji16]

I think the hyper inflated secondary market is ridiculous and would never participate. Nor would I ever sell one, or any of my gear for more than what I paid for it. I love well made gear and am willing to pay the maker's set value for it and no more. I haven't broken the $600 dollar mark yet, but a couple of my mods have come close. That's about my limit as well.

I'll have to be content with a clone and hope for the hype to die down someday before I see an authentic M I guess.

Oh my bad, thought you had one...I agree, and think it's insane and would never sell over retail. Thanks
