Howdy neighbors,

I read on the forum that some juices "eat up" plastic cartos. A glass tank is on my wish list, but so far I am having great success with evods and disposable clearos. But all are plastic tanks.

Which juices are the corrosive ones? I'm thinking that once I get a glass tank or 2 it will not be an issue.

Thanks in advance, Low :glare:

I mixed up a diy Horehound juice ( using the flavor apprentice), and it corroded the polycarbonate part of a Kayfun lite clone in just one tank. Left curly little dry poly-peels all over it. Fortunately I found a quick-shipping inexpensive replacement. I've heard that black licorice and any cinnamon flavored juices also wreak havoc.

"The main problem with plastic -- is that it doesn't biodegrade. No natural process can break it down."
Now that being said..
If you are vaping an e liquid that can destroy your plastic toy..
Do really want to inhale it into your lungs?

That's an interesting point I hadn't really considered, and a totally fair question as far as I'm concerned.
I remember someone somewhere saying that soda can dissolve a galvanized nail, and lots of people drink pop (as do I though not too much). Plus I know that some enzymes can devour stuff quickly, but some are actually really good for your stomach -- think yogurt, and the probiotic drinks that are getting popular these days; or I guess by extension acidic foods like saurkraut. I'm not in charge of the facts abut this stuff, just sort of speculatin'.
What I do know is that I don't like using plastic for vaping, but in the case of the Kayfun lite I like seeing how much juice is in the tank, so I use the plastic middle part rather than the stainless -- a definite compromise.
I am waiting for someone soon to come up with a pyrex insert for the Kayfun/Russian. I'll be first in line.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I have used cinnamon, cola, Mt. Dew, peppermint, spearmint and a lot of others that I have read will crack a tank and haven't had one even discolor or tint. I vape peppermint and cola on a regular basis (not together may I mention) with no ill results. I guess I need to play the lottery with that kind of luck huh?

Watch what salt does to stuff! Salt is in everything you eat in some form or another,
