Hello all,

So to give you a quick background. Been vaping on eGos for well over a year. I am needing to change it up so I am looking into buying a mod. I'm looking into something higher voltage (5V seems to be a sweet spot. Wouldn't mind giving that a try). I am also trying to do this on the cheap if possible. Trying to get something in the 80 dollar range I would need bats and charger out of that money too. I can go up to 100 but that is the max. If you all would be so kind as to answer some questions I would appreciate it.

1) What's a good cheap 5V mod iyo?

2) Do I need a volt meter?

3) What is generally the lifespan of a mod in this price range?

4) Have you noticed you go through a lot more liquid since switching to a higher power mod?

5) Should I switch to cartos or tanks from dripping? Is it better to use those at high power?

Thanks a bunch folks.

5v box mod from madvapes, of 5v WOW from clouds of vapor. Both well under $50.

2) Do I need a volt meter?
Nope. It'll just vape around 5v, all the time. A meter would only bore you.

3) What is generally the lifespan of a mod in this price range?
This I don't know, but I guess it depends how you treat them.

4) Have you noticed you go through a lot more liquid since switching to a higher power mod?
Yep. More vapor per hit means bigger clouds, more fun, more flavor...and more juice spent. YMMV, of course, but I went from 1-3ml a day to probably 2-4.

5) Should I switch to cartos or tanks from dripping? Is it better to use those at high power?
Dripping rocks at higher voltage. Cartos or tanks are fine, but if you don't like'em, you don't need'em.

Best,
Ande

1.) 5 volt center red button box mod

2.)It is nice to check ohm on atty/carto

3.) Should last quite some time

4.) Higher heat (voltage) will vaporize more joose

5.) Personal preference really you can enjoy DCC with 5 v

...all of that...I would add if you use a DCC at 5v it will use juice like water thru a hose...a carto tank is nice with these to keep from topping up as often...............

1. I would actually suggest a Madvapes VV box mod

Variable Voltage Box Mod

It's on sale right now and so, it's only 30.99. Which is a bargain if you consider the rang of voltage being 0-7V. Also, it's regulated voltage so it won't drop off until it dies.

2. Yes

3. I've had mine for a 5 months now and it still works great. So, it's worth the money.

4. Yes, it should be using more juice to the the increased heat that is generated while vaping at High Voltage.

5. To me, it's actually better with atomizers but, carto tanks will work great. Since it's constantly supplying the carto with juice. So, there is a less likely chance that it will get burnt.

1) Check this out for inexpensive. So far, I've only seen positive comments. -- I have this 5.0v mod and couldn't be happier, but it is much more expensive.

2) No. Fixed voltage 5.0v is always going to be 5.0v except maybe when your batteries are getting low.

3) Tough to say since the inexpensive one I recommended has only been out for a few weeks. The other one I mentioned I've had for months and I bought it used in the classifieds from someone who had it a while before me. I bet my triple-v lasts for years.

4) yes. Higher voltage often means increased juice consumption.

5) Carto tanks are nice, but if you're a dripper, it's really tough to say if you'll be satisfied. Some people are just drippers <period> and are not satisfied by anything else.
