The Subtank mini with the .5 coil is good to about 25.5 watts beyond that you start getting burned hits I use one daily and have rebuilt the stock coil-heads at all different resistances and it doesn't matter highest wattage I can take it is 27.5 before it starts giving burned taste. I currently have a 0.55 ohm 28 gauge nichrome twisted 4 wrap coil in a stock housing and the flavor is spectacular and it puts out the vapor but again at 25.5 watts but on the upside my batteries I my Sigelei 150 watt box last almost a day and a half. I put fresh batteries in it at 830 last night vaped it until 1030 then vaped it since 5 45 this morning and still have 60%batteries left and that is 4.5 tanks later so yeah its nice. You will never run 50 watts to either of the 3 subtank the chambers are too small if you're looking to get a tank that will run high power the Delta II will do it and then it's a Billow or UD Goblin which are true RTA build like dripping atomizer's.

I can say this I build my dripping addies @ .15 ohms and run them @ 135 watts and my subtank mini @ 25.5 watts is a very flavorful and satisfying all day vape. The Atlantis runs higher power and slightly more airy but falls short of the flavor that the subtank produces. The Delta II does both rather well but the RBA section is sold separately so you'll have approximately 55 dollars in the Delta vs 35 with the Subtank. Twisted from the vaping with twisted420 review channel had the Delta II with a stock .50 ohm coil-head rocking out at 70 watts which if that's what your looking for power wise would be the way to go.

I believe you can consider Atlantis. I've been using it for almost a month, and happy with it.
When I want to do smoke-play, I hit 30w and it will be fine. On regular daily, I hit only 8-11w, which already cover my need.

The only thing you need to take care is, prime the coil for 1-2 hr before your first use. Insufficient prime will caused the coil to have a burnt flakes and you will not like it.
I dont know with Kanger Sub Tank, but I do think priming the coil before use should be no.1 priority for a longer usage time.

Ok, so If I got this straight, I basically need to use sub ohms. I have never done that and I am worried that the vapor may be a little too hot for me. I really want the Istick 50w because it has the 4400 mah battery and, I like the features, the size, etc. I guess I could buy it for the battery life and not turn it up to its max. Does anyone know of a battery that is close to the Istick 50w in size and battery life?

Exactly. Buy it for the price and long battery life and enjoy it at lower power :)

The Variant uses 2 lipo packs, but even the clone is almost $200. The authentic is like $750. I think you'll be happier with the istick.

doesn't the subtank come with a rebuildable also? I have the nano.

The Nano only uses the OCC heads. The Mini and the full-sized have the rebuildable decks (which also change the volume of liquid you can load in the tank, depending on whether you're using the rebuildable deck or the OCC heads....)

Just noticed Foggy already answered this (sorry Foggy :) )

I'm hoping to add an iStick 50W to my "family" Already have the iPV Mini and Mini2. I'm not even coming CLOSE to pushing the 70W that the Mini2 can throw out, and on BOTH these mods, I frequently throw on a Kanger PT2 with a 1.7-2.0ohm coil. Just run about 9W. I'm using purple efest 3100 maH (20A - but I'm treating as if it's 10A max) batteries, and I can go well over a day before I have to change the battery. My go-tos previously were MVP2.0s, and I was having to recharge at least daily.....

I'm running Subtank Nanos (both 0.5 and 1.2ohm OCCs) on the iPVs, but not even hitting 20W with either head. Sooooooo, you can use the iStick for the long battery life, even with >1ohm coils, but there would be no need to push much about 10-12W depending on the coils.... I just want to try to go two or three days without having to recharge!

The OCC heads in the nano are super easy to rebuild. I have both mine at .5 ohm now.

Where'd you get that idea?

The istick 50 goes up to 10 volts; you can run a 2 ohm coil at 50 watts on it.

A 2 ohm 28 gauge single coil ought to work real good; probably look good too;
26 gauge should be good too.
