Hello,

I've been happily using regular Joye 510 atomizers and dripping for almost 4 years now but the attys are getting harder to come by. I've always bought them in bulk for a couple bucks a piece but my main supplier isn't selling them anymore. I can't afford to buy them singularly from another provider because it would be terribly expensive (some last one week but some last one day).

I need to find a carto or clearo tank system that would function with an all VG liquid. I've watched many youtube videos on different tanks and several of the folks mention using less than 50/50 blends.

I don't think I'm up to the task of the rebuildable attys.

Thank you for your opinions,
Lori

You won't really find one. I switch to a reo and a reomizer after having no luck with Clearomizers and cartomizers it's not hard to wrap coils though a basic coil is just wrapped around a tooth pick and then slide the wick In. I use yarn. If that's not your cup of tea you can buy premade coils and wick

I've been running 95% VG/ 5% H2O unflavored with a carto tank for over a year.

Do the RBAs have to be used on mechanical mods? Does RDA mean rebuildable dual coil? I've watched several more videos and building them does seem easy enough.

No, RBA/RDA's can be used on any battery IF the coils you build is within the Amp limit of your battery. For example, if you currently use a 1.8 or 2.0 ohm stock coil, the same coil that you build will work on your battery.

RDA = Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer

RBA = ReBuildable Atomizer = Usually refers to a rebuildable tank atomizer

You can build an RBA to work on everything including an ego style battery (it looks like a mace with a kayfun lol but it works) It is more will the resistance I am building work on the device versus will the atomizer I'm using work on the device. (threading excluded)

Rda means rebuildable dripping atomizer
Rta means rebuildable tank atomizer
Rba means either

I use 100% VG and haven't had much trouble with the vivi nova or even the little vea canteens that I have for throwaways. The wicks don't soak up as well with the vg when the levels get low in the tanks, but rolling them on their side a few times between vapes keeps the heavy liquid up there it seems.

Here's one that should work well:

https://www.fasttech.com/products/1754802

Because you "pump" the eliquid onto the coil/wick, it doesn't need to draw in the VG through narrow wick holes.
Unfortunately, although the coil heads are replaceable I haven't found a source for direct replacements yet.

As others have suggested, thinning the liquid with 5-10% water should help with most heads.

As to your other questions:
RDA is "Rebuildable dripping atomizer". you can wind them single-coil or dual coil (most will support duals). These are tankless. You can use these on any PV as long as you wind a coil with high enough resistance (most VV or VW mods won't fire below around 0.8-1 ohm)

RBA is "Rebuildable Atomizer" (or sometimes "Rebuildable Bottom-coil Atomizer). Technically this includes RDA's, but normally it refers specifically to tank-style attys (like the Kayfun, etc).

Making coils is pretty easy (but at first, it won't be quite as easy as it looks in the videos!)

I used cartotanks exclusively for quite a while, with a variety of juice in a variety of VG/PG ratios. If I were you, I'd give a carto tank a try with some slotted, Boge cartos. Those actually flooded for me while using 50/50 juice, so they may wick fine for you. You can get them in bulk from Surevapes I think.
