Which Temco ribbon wire?

I've been using 28g kanthal mainly for a long time, but I'm thinking about doing the ribbon wire thing. I bought some RW0352 - 0.9 x 0.1 mm from Temco a while back, but found it was not suited to what I wanted to do. I had to entirely cover my wick with nearly no gaps between coils at all to get my target .8 ohm. It was the lowest resistance ribbon they had, but not quite what I wanted.

I use SS wicks exclusively, mostly 400 mesh in my RSST.

I've heard others locally talking about 64 ribbon, but nothing on Temco's site is .64mm. I want to use a 4/3 wrap and get between .75 and .8 ohm, so which one to buy? I'm thinking maybe the .7mm wide ribbon with 6.58 ohms per foot resistance, but that's higher than the 28g kanthal I've been using which is 5.27 ohms per foot.

I would try a small amount of the .7 mm. I have .8 mm and I need a 5/4 wrap to get the resistance you are talking about.

You need .5 x .1 ribbon wire to get to .7-.9 range.I use the same ribbon wire and three wraps gets me .8~,two wraps usually put me at .5~.

A 4/3 wrap of .5 x .1 ribbon will definately put you over the mark you want though,into the 1.25/1.5-1.9ish area.

I use .5 buy a little from someplace else to see if it works for you, then get it from Temco.

i'd say try it at the higher resistance. using ribbon wire is kind of like using a micro coil, it's okay if the resistance is a little higher because of the increased surface area in contact with the wick.
