I wouldn't worry about manufacturers as much as the "version". I own a V2, and the juice well around the ego threads is not technically removable. V3 and up has a top cap area that you can just unscrew. V4 and up also has a nicer-looking OLED screen versus the older-style blocky-number display. You can also get one in aluminum in the V5 and choose a color if that's your thing.

Personally, if I needed another Vamo I'd look for a V5 stainless from a reputable vendor.

This looks like a decent state-side deal.

But then again I already have two Vamo V2's so I'm trying to talk myself out of buying a Sigelei Zmax V3 telescopic now.

I would have to agree, the V5 is the best one they have done yet, with the older style body, removable top cap, and OLED display...

FWIW, I would get the stainless steel version. The finishes of the chrome and gunmetal wear off way too easy, and are fingerprint magnets.

Be prepared, these things are LONG in 18650 mode :) A small lightsaber handle for sure!

I believe that the Vamo is a product of KSD. Products Catalog_Shenzhen Kangside Technology Co., Limited
Of course they may sub-contract the manufacturing to different locations. I do not know if you could purchase one and know the point of origin. That being said, the Vamo is still a pretty cost effective device. When they first came out, the Vamo had no peer in the $30 price point. Over the last year, the market has produced several competitors. The zmax, svd, sid, mvp2, kmax, and I am sure there are more.
