Rayon or Japanese Organic Cotton ........but really, just rewicking my Kanger mini 2's with rayon has been the difference between night and day. Some people can taste new cotton at first as well, if this happens don't worry, it should wear off shortly. I personally have not been able to "taste" the Rayon, yet.

EDIT: It originally stated- Rayon or Japanese Organic Cotton for the win....except I abbreviated For The Win and it was edited out. I suppose that abbreviation could go either way ;)

Only wicking material that I use is rayon (cellucotton) from Sally's Beauty Supply (online or B&M)
You'll be looking for Graham Cellucotton:
Box #s: 44060 (500 ft), 44043 (3 lbs = 900 ft), 44040 (1200 ft), 44130 (40 ft).
Trust me... it is SOOOOOo worth giving it a shot!! And check out the Rayon thread for all the tips and tricks on how to use it... it is not like cotton (you need more of it.. tighter inside the coil)

You know what? I actually like those first 3 puffs with the cotton undertones. I know I am strange.

Anyone got a DIY recipe for cotton?

I'm the oddball of the crowd, all I use is silica. Basically I hate having to rewick all the time. So I build a coil around a silica wick and vape for the next three months or so. I bought 300 feet of silica cord about two years ago, and have about 290 feet left. It's probably going to take at least two lifetimes to use it all up at this rate.

You're definitely the oddball, TJ... still got nothin' but love for ya, even if I personally can't understand why you still like silica...
I do completely understand the longevity of it... I guess I've just never been able to get it to work well for me. Maybe it's that you're an oddball, and I'm just dumb... who knows? I guess all that really matters is that we've been able to find what works for us... that's the beauty of this hobby and this community. We're all here to help one another find what works best for each person as an individual so that we can prosper as a community! :)
