Iv found the ekowool to work great. The break in time is much shorter than for silica wicks. Straight away full flavour no weird silica taste. I use 1.5mm silica in my ithaka and this fills the channels well. Maybe 2mm would be better. As i do get a little gurggling but i probably should of closed off the basic feeding. So no wicking problems at all. I think the diameters quoted on a lot of
vaping online stores refers to the internal diameter as people seem to use the ekowool as insulation around steel wire rope or mesh wicks on thier genny style atties.
Currently have it set in my ithaka using a x coil at 0.7ohms using kanthal ribbon wire. Amazing with my dragon passion
juice.
Weirdly in my ody again 1.5mm wick but with single coil at 1 ohm using the same ribbon wire I found ekowool to have a little trouble wicking. If I vape for longer than 4 seconds I can sometimes get dry hits but not always. Same juice inside. A fiddle with the juice control sorts it very quickly though.
main issue with ekowool though is it frays so easily. I found wetting with a little juice where I want to cut it and cutting using nail clippers sorts the issue
