I tried to use vaping to quit smoking years ago that is when I found this forum but failed I started vaping again after stopping smoking fully for two weeks and starting after that this time it seems to be working I have gone 25 days smoke free I have used nicotine free juice but tonight I got a cig-alike at a bar and feel bad did I slip or is it okay? I do tend to be quiet on forums until I feel I have something to add but just wanted to say hello again as well as asking my question. I use an Ego like device.

Welcome, e-cigarettes were not that great back then. It is a lot easier to find a satisfying experience today. In my opinion everything is okay, quitting cigarettes is the goal anything that gets you there is good, don't give up if you slip. I was off and on for 2 years before I fully quit, it is understandable. I would say nicotine juice is not as bad as cigarettes(for your health, or for some to quit) so maybe try some is see if it can help keep the cravings at bay( I would recommend 12-18mg nic level to start if you were around a pack a day smoker).

to ecf soliscjw. I wouldn't consider this a slip at all. . . you could have just as easily bought a pack of cigarettes. Congrats on the 25 days. Would just like to say, the information and recommendations are exceptional here but ecf also happens to be a huge support group made up of understanding people who care. Join in some of the wonderful threads and you will quickly see what I am talking about. Good luck to you and happy VAPING to you.

Hello, welcome, and congratulations, soliscjw! :) Nicotine does not kill you. It's non-cancerous. It's what's in tobacco smoke that kills you. Like Rat2Chat2 said you could have easily bought a pack. You did really good for a night out at the bar!

Wander on over to CASAA.org and read a few studies and test results over there. You'll feel better about nicotine. You can join them for free or send a few bucks to help them out with their expenses. They're a volunteer group that gathers a bunch of information for our edification for the love of vaping.
