Whistle Tip

Hey all…

I'm sure it has been done before…

But, here is my take on a Flat "Whistle Tip"

I have always liked the feel of a whistle tip, so I wanted to give this try...

I took a 510 Flat tip empty cart and cut it with a razor blade .020" from the air opening…

Pull the plug from the carto and it slides in very well... Strong enough to hang from a bite…

Seems I have a use for the 510 stuff I have now LOL…

I started doing the same thing as you Keyzy...I use the 801. I cut the end a bit and they fit over the carto not inside the carto.

I love a flat tip also, but I only do this with hard cap cartoz. I pull the hard cap and o-ring out, store for emergencies and replace with the flat tip. IMO, I seem to lose a little TH (maybe because the vapor has to travel farther...maybe psychological...IDK), but it makes for easy topping off.

The soft caps are so easy to work with, I use them as-is to not sacrifice the TH.

did that too but found that they come off to easy, now i use drip tips from an ecf vendor. they fit much better and work great.

This thread reminded me that I had a couple of the shorty drip tips to try out - I have to say they rock!

I tried this with the 801 tips myself and really like the draw, but had problems getting juice in the mouthpiece. Carts seemed to warm up quicker too.

Of course I was using it on 6V......might have been a factor<grin>.
