Who makes the best Caravela clone?

If you want a 23mm mod the EHPro is the best quality IMHO, but if you want a 22mm the hcigar would be the best bet.
HCigar's latest caravela clones are extremely nice
I've only used a real caravela once and it was a very used one.
The HCigar clone is made just as well as the original I held and they could interchange parts.
It's a nice enough clone that I wouldn't buy a real Caravela.
I don't flip mods.

The EHPro is a piece of crap ! I've bought two of them. The tubes are too short, and the switch binds up.
It 'looks' really good. Silver plated contacts, solid brass bottom cap; in lieu of gold colored SS, etc..
I'm glad I didn't order one from ehpro.
Looks like the HCigar piece, with a Fat Daddy magnetic switch conversion, and some homemade copper M5 pins is all I need to get setup!
I'm an antique collector, and a bit of a snoot; so I want my fakes to look, and feel quality lol

I think I'm going to pick up a veritas rda for it as well. Been wanting to pick one of those up for quite some time
if i'm wrong someone please correct me, yet i do believe the H-Cigar version has 20 x 1 threaded tubes so you could go Hybrid with an adapter with that Veritas.

Would running this in hybrid mode free up enough internal room to run a kick with a full size 18650 flat top?
Get one of the newer releases that has the threaded pin in threaded pin design for the top cap adjustment instead of the original 3 different pins of varying lengths.

I've decided to hold out to get on the list for a genuine Vela, and instead have Fakirs make me a custom length tube, and use Rampagevapor Le22 switch assembly/top cap.
I just can't bring myself to support the cloning of these gorgeous mods. Something about it doesn't sit right with me.
That's really surprising to hear! When did you buy yours? The one I had was from awhile back, over a year probably, so maybe quality has taken a dive in the meantime. I loved it specifically because of the switch which was so buttery smooth out of the box that few (even authentic mods, no real vela though) I've had since then have even compared to it.
Now that I think about it, I did hear that EHPro changed the design of the switch, I believe with the goal of getting rid of some wobble (it was wobbly when standing unlocked) so maybe that is the cause. Was yours 23mm? Also were the tubes too short to fit the battery even with the 510 center pin backed out? I ask because I've had to shorten the 510 pin on all the caravela clones I've had regardless of brand to get my desired atty to sit flush and have the battery secured properly.
